Stefano catches John and Marlena (with Celeste's help) and throws them back in the cell. He drugs John and says he'll get rid of his whole mind unless Marlena rings Roman. So she does, telling him she's having a wonderful time with John. Ivan tries to stop Vivian destroying Kate's eggs, then she tells him she has an even better idea than before. Bo buys Billie a beautiful ring. Kristen has the idea of them coming to Maison Blanche for the party so Bo can propose, and of Jennifer and Peter coming to, to have some time together. Billie tells Bo she knows how much he loved Hope and how can she compete with a ghost (funny how Hope's the main topic of conversation these days when we've barely heard her name in years).
Kristen tells Peter about wanting him, Jenn, her, Tony, Bo and Billie to go away together. They all agree to go but only Jenn knows where. John lies in his cell thinking about Kristen and she, sitting at the Penthouse Grille with Peter, thinks about John and shivers. She tells Jenn she thinks this trip is urgent. Stefano tells Marlena she can delay John having another injection for a day by playing chess with him and if she wins, John gets another day. He tells her the added day won't help because no-one is coming to save them. Vivian gives Victor a tape deck for him to speak in to his son, while the mother of his son wears it on his waist. He tells her the woman who has his child he will love forever. She and Ivan go to the IVF lab and she holds hers and Kate's eggs and tells Ivan she is going to have his child. Laura is getting snappy and Mike is suspicious. She sneaks into the IVF lab and steals a prescription pad and overhears Vivian's plans.
Bo dreams about Hope. (Must be the first time we've seen the two actors together). Bo and Shawn D go to visit Hopes' grave where they meet Mrs Horton. While Shawn D goes off to buy some flowers Bo and Mrs H talk about Hope and Billy. Bo is left by the grave side and talks to Hope's grave about his love for her and Billy and decides it's time to move on. Billy meets him there Billy explains that Bo really loved Hope and that he may not love her that way, but she understands. Bo replies that Hope will always have a special place in his heart, but it's now time to move on with Billy. Carrie visits Kate to give in her resignation from Countess Wilhemina, as Kate hasn't offered Billy a position at the company. Lucas tries to dissuade her not to quit. Carrie is adamant. Lucas is not pleased, especially when he sees Carrie and Austin hugging at he mall. Kate and Victor are off to the doctors for Kate to be impregnated with her eggs. As they wait, in the adjoining room, Vivian is all set to get impregnated herself. Through the show, we see "Hope" at Maison Blanche. She is looking at the photo of Bo, which she took from Marlena's wallet. She then cuts out Bo's face and places it in a small ornate box. She doesn't speak.
The doctor does the check on the two dishes holding Kate's and Vivian's eggs. Ivan pretends to faint and Vivian swaps the labels and gets implanted with Kate and Victor's child to be. The doctor implants Kate's eggs into Vivian. The doctor then realises that Kate's eggs are missing, realises the mistake and proceeds to give the bad news to Kate and Victor. Kate and Victor are horrified to learn that the woman who had the appointment before them has been implanted with their baby concoction. Meanwhile Vivian gloats in the room next door. Kristen and Jennifer talk about the "fancy dress ball" at Maison Blanche. They invite Billie and Bo to the Maison Blanche party then let it slip to Billie that Bo's going to propose. Billie is over the moon. Bo is just about to propose to Billy when Kristen stops him and tells him about New Orleans and how it would be a more romantic place to propose. Roman receives notice of the hearing for his and Marlena's divorce. Stefano tells Peter he can no longer contact him as he is in the final stages of his plan. He tells Celeste to throw away his mobile phone. Tony arrives home from a business trip and Peter tells him not to unpack as Kristen has plans for them. Kristen and Jen see Roman walking through Salem Place and discuss how lonely he looks. Kristen can't believe that Marlena could be so cruel and leave him for John. (Marlena was blackmailed by Stefano into phoning Roman and telling him she and John were together. Roman truly believes his marriage is over) Jennifer defends John and Marlena, but Kristen doesn't want to discuss John because she is with the MAN that she loves. Peter and Tony find out it's Maison Blanche that Jenn and Kristen are taking them to. They can't get out of it without arousing suspicions and cannot contact Stefano to warn him they're all coming there. Stefano tries to brainwash John but John resists by thinking of Kristen, who feels the pull of someone needing her. As a last resort to put John under his power he says he'll tell John of his past as he needs to bring everything to the surface to then erase his whole memory. He starts helping John remember the past. As Stefano continues the brainwash, John remembers a bell tolling.
Kate and Victor are devastated about the error with the embryos. Vivan feels her revenge is almost complete, until the doctor tells her Kate and Victor want the embryo transferred from Vivian back to Kate. Kate and Vic still don't know Vivian is the other woman. How will Vivian get out of this one??!! (Ivan also tells her he'll still respect her as a lady despite seeing the entire embryo implantation from the interesting end!!). Marlena wins John 12 hours of being drug free in a chess game. Her and Stefano then find him collapsed and Marlena nurses him, then Stefano offers her another game for another 12 hours. John tells her not to worry about him, that he knows now he'll be fine. Hope is getting rebellious wondering why Stefano won't let her return to her life (she apparently thinks she was ill and he kindly looked after her). She decides to go and find out what he and Celeste are up to. The gang arrive in New Orleans despite Peter's and Tony's diversion attempts. Bo tells Billie New Orleans was where he and first made love, but that he hopes they can make their own memories there, like making love for their first time. "Hope" is becoming rebellious, wants Stefano to let her get back to her "old" life. When the three couples arrive at the plantation, Tony sends Peter off to search for Stefano, while he keeps the others occupied. As Billy and Bo hug, "Hope" watches them from the outside window. Tony and Peter desperately look around for Stefano at MB but cannot find him. Stefano has disconnected his phone so they can't get in touch with him. Hope walks past the window and sees Bo and Billie hugging.
