Carrie and Ausin return from their trip and everyone is happy to see how happy and in love they are (except Alan of course). Sami and Roman decide to go to a Marx brothers film, something he and Marlena used to always do at the annual festival. Alan turns up there in costume and Sami sees him but then he disappears. Caroline finds out Sami and Roman are there and persuades Marlena that she should go to the festival, not telling her the others are there. Sami goes out to find Alan and Marlena moves down a few rows not realising she's next to Roman. They see each other and realise what Caroline did. Caroline then arranges for them to win a pretend door prize, a dinner for two at the Penthouse Grille. They agree to go together the next night to discuss the kids. Jenn is seeing signs of Laura losing it but Laura always has a logical excuse for what happened. Bill comes over to tell Jenn he's thinking of going back to Somalia because he's only causing trouble here. He tells her he doesn't want to go till Laura is getting adequate care. He begs Jenn not to deny Laura's illness to herself. Of course Laura overhears much of this, including him saying he'll even hospitalise her if necessary and her paranoia about being locked away increases. After he's gone Jenn suggests to Laura that seeing someone might not be a bad idea after what she's been through. Laura says she'll think about it and after Jenn goes to bed she fills out the prescription saying they will not lock her away. Billie worries that Jamie is being abused by her father and Bo says he'll quietly look into whether any domestic violence complaints have ever been made by the Caldwells. She wonders if she just doesn't know what a normal father/daughter relationship looks like. Bo promises her the future will be good and he wants to wait till they make love so it's not just about sex but about two souls meeting.
Victor and Kate have a nice time in bed but she still senses his distance and gives him back her wedding ring. He tells her to keep the engagement ring on and that he just needs to get some trust back in her, not to mention a son from her. Vivian works out that they're doing IVF and starts plotting how she can use this. Victor tells her to move on and find someone else. Vivian gets upset when she gets a letter from Nicky saying he can't come for the visit he'd planned and she feels very alone. After he leaves she tells Ivan there's no way Kate will have Victor's baby. Carrie and Austin can't bear to be away from each other during the day. Jenn tells Billie she's worried about her Mum and that her Mum's gone out on a walk but later Billie sees her in the drugstore where she's waiting for a prescription from the leaf of Marlena's pad she stole. Billie then rearranges a Countess Whillhemena display which isn't in full view for customers. Then she rings Jenn to see if she needs any diapers and tells her about seeing Laura picking up the prescription. Jenn tells Alice and they wonder what's going on. Austin asks Kate to let Billie become part of the company. She says she'll think about it after the IVF. Lucas hears Austin tell Carrie about it and says "no way". He asks Kate about it and Kate flippantly says not to worry, as far as she's concerned the company is his. He goes off very smug.
Laura runs into Marlena who says she is on the board who will review her application to practice psychiatry again. She tells her she'll have to do some sessions with her to check her illness won't recur. Laura tells Jenn it was vitamin tablets she was buying. Mike returns to Salem without Robin and Jeremy and reunites with Jenn and his Mum. Bo can't find anything on David Caldwell but Billie remains convinced Jamie is being abused. Marlena and Roman meet at the Penthouse Grille for dinner, as do Bo and Billie and the Caldwell family. Billie asks about the necklace David Caldwell bought for Jamie because he said she "deserved" it. She asks Jamie if her Mum thinks she deserved it to, sending a clear message to Jamie that she knows what's going on.
The doctor tells Kate her blood pressure is too high to induce ovulation today so Victor takes her to the Penthouse Grille for dinner to try to help her relax. Billie and Bo are there together and Bo has spoken to David Caldwell about helping Billie start another company but she's more concerned about Jamie. She tells Jamie she knows what she's going through and can help her but Jamie denies her father's abusing her. She gets upset and her parents and Bo come out and Billie accuses him of abusing Jamie and he and Jamie's mother call Billie lots of yucky names and leave. Bo tells Billie that if she doesn't apologise to David Caldwell he doesn't know if he'll be able to forgive her. Marlena and Roman have dinner together and Roman keeps making sure the conversation stays on the kids. She tells him she's worried about John but Roman is sure Stefano won't let John find him. Roman drops her home and tells her they can't get what they had in the past back. Meanwhile John is still in the dungeon trying to dig his way out when Stefano isn't looking at him on camera. Stefano tells him to take a last look at Kristen because she and Tony are leaving tonight. Kristen actually doesn't want to leave. Tony tells her how he might have got Countess Whillhemena from Kate and Kristen just loves him to pieces!! Then John manages to get out of the dungeon. Austin and Carrie babysit Belle and Brady and tell each other how much they love each other. When Marlena gets home the 'phone rings and John's voice is on the 'phone telling her to get to Maison Blanche as soon as possible.
The voice on the 'phone is a tape recording Stefano has put together. He tells Marlena he's sending the private jet to get her so off she goes in the jet Kristen and Tony were supposed to come back to Salem on so Tony is angry at Stefano and Peter, but Peter doesn't know what's going on in this case. Jenn and Mike go to the new club and see Peter and his date and each is jealous but Jenn doesn't tell him Mike's her brother. Billie goes to apologise to David Caldwell, not knowing Jamie is hiding under the desk in his office. He tells Billie he should sue her and to get out and after she goes he moves to touch Jamie and she says "No!". John finds Celeste and ties her to a chair. He finds a map of the island and works out where Stefano is hiding and goes off there, encountering barking mean looking dogs on the way. Meanwhile Stefano 'phones Marlena on the 'plane, using the tape again which has John's voice saying he'll send a car for her when she lands, and letting her hear dogs barking.
