The judge decides there is not enough evidence to warrant putting Kate on the stand. Pat Hamilton calls Abe to testify. Jen does a show on the new mental health clinic. Her guests include Victor who contributed funds to the clinic. Vic talks about Viv and Jen talks about Laura. Laura and Viv are watching the show and Laura tells Vivian that she cannot tell her Kate's secret as it would hurt Jen. Laura decides to go and see Victor. John goes to the DiMera's where he almost sees Stefano. Stefano was able to hide in time. Tony and Kristen arrive home and John tells them that he believes Stefano to have faked his own death. This angers Tony and Kristen and further causes Kristen to hate John. Stefano warns Peter to be careful around John. Peter goes to Jennifer's studio and after her show asks her if she would have stayed the night with him if Tony and Kristen hadn't interrupted their kiss.

Austin tells Bo and Billie about Carrie's attack. Alan visits Carrie to see if she will recognise him as the attacker but she doesn't. Jennifer tells Peter she might have styaed with him . She tells him she wants to continue to see himn but wants to go slowly. He invites her on a date. At salem place, Jen sees Austin and Carrie and invites them along with her and Peter. They all go to the Cheatin' Heart - a place Jack never took Jen. Laura, looking through a window at the Kiriakis mansion, realises Victor is devoted to Kate. At Salem place she sees Jen preparing for her date with Peter and overhears her telling a shop assistant how much she misses her mother. Vivian and Ivan are desperate to find Laura. Viv dresses as a bag lady so no one will recognise her and searches Salem place. Lucas sees Sami at Johnny Angel's and tries to cheer her up. They are joined by Alan who tells Sami she looks like Carrie. Sami is impressed by the attention she is getting from Alan. Kate's maid buys clothes with Kate's money and goes to the Cheatin' Heart. As she is leaving she is spotted by Billie wearing the seashell shoes.

Bo and Billie lose Mary in the fog. They return to the Heart where they recruit Peter and Jennifer to help look for the woman. Billie, Jennifer and Peter all go to a Rave party looking for the woman with the shoes. They do not see her and Peter and Jen leave. Once they are gone, Billie sees Mary and grabs her. Peter and Jen return to Jen's place, where he kisses her once more. Abe and Lexie are having dinner and Abe tells Lexie she can return to the force if she apologises for helping the Pacifier. Victor tells Abe to tell Bo to back off Kate as she had nothing to do with the murder. Abe and Bo continue looking for the shoes. Wendy invites Jonah to the movies but he gets Lexie's exam results in the mail and cancels the date so he can see Lexie.

Lexie passed her exams with flying colours and is accepted at medical school. She tells Jonah she is not going but will instead return to the police force. Jonah is angry with lexie and tells Wendy he believes Lexie to be making the wrong choice. Lexie does not tell abe about her results. The two of them spend the night discussing their future together on the force. Billie calls Bo and he and Abe arrive and take Mary to the police station. Mary calls Victor. Victor and Kate go to the station where Mary tells the police that she bought the shoes from a street vendor. later Victor tells Kate that he knows all about her past and has known for ages. Bo and Billie are both disappointed that the shoe lead did not help.

Marlena goes to her house to collect Belle's things but does so when Roman is there. Later John tells Marlena he has found her a home to live in. > Roman discovers that Marlena forgot Belle's favourite mobile and takes it to her and sees John playing with Belle. Jen decides to have a memorial service for laura. When Peter gives her a supportive hug, Alice and Maggie are not impressed. Tony & Kristen almost catch Stefano in the house once more. Stefano makes it to the secret room in time. He overhears Kristen and Tony plan on going to Billie's trial and leave the house. Stefano leaves the room and finds Tony standing there. Vivian continued to insist that Laura reveal the truth about Kate's past. Pat Hamilton calls Alice to the stand. She makes Alice reveal that the dress scrap belonged to Billie's dress. Bo made Mary confess the truth about the shoes and then convinced the judge to call Kate to the stand. Mickey questioned Kate but she insisted that there was never any connection between her and Curtis. While on the stand, the courtroom door opens and Laura walks in.
