Lucas manages to swap the contracts so that Brandee is going to Milan and stops her before she tells Carrie anything. Downstairs, Kate is getting ready but has the jitters. Marlena asks her if it's *just* pre-wedding jitters. Kate tells Marlena about her encounter with Vivian and says that she always thought that Victor was a man that didn't show emotion, but she has no reason not to believe Vivian. She finishes getting ready and Lucas comes and picks her up. They head up to the Penthouse Grille. Meanwhile John is flirting with Kristen and Roman accepts John's job offer. Later Marlena tells John she wants to talk Roman out of quitting the force. At the Spectator, Jenn and Austin come to pick up Jack for dinner. Jack has a whole lot of Vic's computer disks that were supposed to be destroyed and Vern is trying to crack the encoding. Jenn sees something on the screen about the Spectator and Jack thinks that this information is why Vic wants to get hold of the Spectator so quickly. They head up to the Titan Grille for dinner. The wedding takes place and Jack, Jenn and Austin walk in at the end of it. Jack follows Vic and Kate into her office where she hands Vic the deed to the Spectator. Jack tells Kate that Vic is using her and that if she works with him, they can take Victor down. Kate says she'll not work against her husband. Back up at the Grille, Kate throws her bouquet, and who should catch it, but Vivian... More flirting goes on between John and Kristen until Kristen catches sight of Peter and takes off to 'get some air'. John follows her and she tells him it's over between them. Bo doesn't ask Billie *why* she's at the club, just asks her to ID Curtis as the gunman. She says it's not him and Bo ends up leaving. Curtis thanks her and buys her a beer. She doesn't want it and gets upset and tells him she hates what he's done to her - making her lie to someone she really cares about. She says she's going to tell Bo the truth, but Curtis begs her not to. Billie says she won't, on the condition that he goes to the rehab clinic. She takes him and books him in there. Later when he's there, he gets a call from Peter who tells him he might need him back in Salem soon....

Carrie and Lucas arrive back at Victor's and Lucas wants to do something special and romantic for his mother. Carrie shares her most romantic fantasy - her wedding night with candles...(usual Salem set-up). They set up a champagne supper for Victor and Kate but when they get home, Kate takes Lucas aside and tells him that he's all she has. She has been upset by Victor in the limo on the way home when he talked to his lawyer about the Spectator. She has made him promise not to fire Jack if he will recant on his threats. Lucas and Carrie leave and Kate and Victor head upstairs. There are about a thousand candles in the room and Vic says that he arranged it all, including the champagne supper - but he didn't want to disappoint the kids. He promises Kate to make her happy but still can't commit to loving her. They go to bed and Kate tells him that she doesn't want to push him into saying anything, but she wouldn't have married him if she didn't love him. Jenn and Austin get back to her place, but Jack isn't there - he's at the pub where Vern finds him and gives him a decoded paragraph from one of the disks. Jack screws it up and then heads home. Jenn and he have an emotional exchange, Jack feels like he's failed her and Abby and he wants to get revenge on Voctor. Jenn tells him there are more important things than revenge right now. But he's still being an emotional dwarf....

Jenn is at the hospital for Abby's transplant. Oddly enough it seems that the operation is being done in the same hospital room Vivian, or was it Carly occupied mere months ago. Weird. Jack isn't there - he's at the Spectator, telling Vern that they have to figure out what Victor is up to so they can take him down and get control of the paper back. Then he realizes what day it is and rushes to the hospital. There, Jenn gets some research material and she tells Jack that it appears that there are higher incidences of aplastic anemia and other related diseases in children in Salem than in other cities and she wants to work out why. Lexie wakes having a nightmare about Jonah. Abe comforts her and tells her that Jonah can take care of himself. However, Jonah reads a story in the newspaper about a 13 year old who OD'd on crack and he heads out to become the Pacifier again. Lexie gets paged an is told there are reports of a knife fight between a drug dealer and a man in a ski mask. She fears it might be Jonah and races down there. Everyone is gone but there is still a bloody knife. She hightails it round to Jonah's where he seems to be fine until he has to sit down in pain and she discovers he's been stabbed in the side. Marlena (with her cute little bulge under a grey sweat top ;0>) asks Sami how her therapy is going, but Roman overhears. Sami lies and tells him she's seeing a nutritionist. Roman says that if her mother thinks she should then that's fine by him. He goes off to make a drink and Sami thanks Marlena for not telling him. Mar says that she didn't tell him because his friend has just died. But she thinks he should know - Sami needs his support and his love right now. Sami says the therapy is going just fine but Dr. Dorman says she needs to learn herself a bit more. Marlena tells her she does and she has to let *them* love her - she has to open up. She hugs Sami but Sami pulls away and says she has volunteer duty. Jamie turns up and Sami goes upstairs to get her stuff. Marlena asks Jamie if she knows about the bulimia and asks her to be a good friend and try and help Sami through this. Jamie says that she will. Sami comes back down and grabs her stuff off the table, but she leaves her diary there. Later Marlena is in the kitchen when Roman finds the book. He opens the front of it wondering what it is when Marlena comes out and tells him he can't read Sami's diary. He says he wasn't going to now that he's worked out what he is. She sits down with him and he tells her he's thankful they don't have the kind of daughter that you have to read her diary to find out what she's hiding from you. He starts talking about how lucky he feels and then Abe arrives. He tells Abe that he's leaving the force but Marlena says she thinks that's a mistake. She tells him why and he says he'll think about what she said. For her part she decides not to try and talk him out of it if that's what he wants. Abe and Roman go out back to fix the basketball hoop and Marlena contemplates Sami's diary saying that she's so terribly worried about her. At the hospital Sami has a session and she asks Jamie to get her some food. Jamie is trying to refuse as the doctor comes out. They go in but the doctor knows that she's hiding something important. She tells him she's not keeping her feelings bottled up - she writes them down in her diary. She looks in her bag for the diary but realizes she left it at home on the table. She says...if her parents read it...and then she rushes out of the session....

Lexie tries to convince Jonah to go to the hospital but he won't. He makes her go and tells her that he'll be okay. However she comes back later with some things from the drugstore to dress his wounds. He tells her that she's good at this and if he didn't know any better he'd think she had some training. She's still pretty upset with him but then Abe comes round and they have to hide everything from him. Lexie tells Abe she has the afternoon off too and they head off. Carly is getting worse and Vivian is trying to get hold of Dr. Wu. There is some sort of incident in Beijing and they think he might have been involved but he eventually turns up at the house with the herbs. He gives some to Carly but she continues to get worse. So Dr. Wu says he'll give her a stronger dose - if it doesn't kill her it'll cure her. Lawrence is *very* unhappy at this turn of events and threatens Vivian several times. He tells her if Carly dies he'll see she gets the electric chair and he'll pull the switch himself... (teehee - gotta love Larry). In LA, Bo and Billie decide to do a day of sightseeing before they head home (after Billie being driven crazy by Bo in a towel and only a towel). They rent (I guess) a video camera and film their day out. Bo begins to notice how cute Billie is (finally) and starts to do his moody thing. Back at the hotel room, Bo gets a call. It's Ozzie and he has a job for Bo and Billie. Marlena contemplates the diary as she sits on the couch. She reads snatches of the first page in between closing the cover to agonize over whether she's doing the right thing. Roman and Abe come in and she hides the diary beneath some cushions. They go out to a call about the Pacifier and Marlena continues to torture herself with the diary. Meanwhile Sami is rushing to get home. She walks in the door to find Marlena on the couch with the diary in her hands. Marlena starts to say she's sorry, but Sami blurts out that she couldn't help herself could she - she just had to read it - and now she knows the truth - that Sami's only problem is with her. Marlena doesn't understand what Sami is talking about and tells her she didn't read the diary. Sami realizes that she's blown it big time as Marlena pressures her to tell her what she did to make Sami so angry. Sami says she can't talk about it. Marlena says she has to tell her before she goes crazy. Sami won't and Marlena says then she has no option but to arrange a family session with Dr. Dorman. Sami says she can't do that - she promised she wouldn't tell Dad. Marlena tells her she promised she wouldn't tell him without telling Sami first. Well consider yourself told kid! Sami begs her not to tell Roman who walks in the door at that very moment. Sami pretends that everything is fine and then takes off back to the hospital. Marlena and Roman sit down to lunch but Roman can see there's something bothering Marlena. He gently asks her what it is and she begins to cry. Back at the hospital, Sami talks Jamie into getting her a candy bar, but as soon as she leaves the room, Sami collapses on the floor.....

Bo and Billie head off to a clairvoyant who tells Billie that deception will cancel out her one true love. Meanwhile, Bo is looking around the place, and then arrests the clairvoyant for handling stolen goods. Billie is still shaken up by the revelations when they get back to the hotel but Bo tells her not to worry about it - the woman was a fake. Billie prepares to tell him the truth, but in a John Black move, he tells her he knows why she's feeling like she is - because love is important to her yadda yadda. Then he starts droning on about Carly and how he wishes he could have said sorry to her before she died. Anyway, they decide to have dinner together and they have an intimate conversation about what they like about each other. Billie goes off and puts her blue dress on and they begin to dance. He goes off to give her a gift - the brass ring her got from the carousel - he's had a chain put on it. He tells her it's to remind her she's a winner. She says she doesn't deserve it. She turns away but he pulls her back to him. In a sweet moment, they kiss. Peter turns up at Kristen's demanding to know the truth about she and John but she tells him that they just work together. They start talking about her fiancÈ again. Kristen says she hasn't heard from him for months and Peter reminds her that was the plan after the shooting at the wedding. He also tells Kristen she should start dressing up more - he remembers when they were young she always wore designer clothes and her hair was perfect - now she looks like she doesn't even comb it (Hahahahaha! Right on Petey!). She says if her fiance was to walk in now.... She reminds him that she is a social worker now and she eventually gets rid of him. Then John turns up and drags her off to the loft. He's had it all set up to look (something) like Hawaii and he strips down to swimming trunks. He makes her change into a bikini and sarong and then they start making out. She pulls away saying that she can't do this and John says that it's safe. No-one knows she's here and nothing will happen to her. They start again but Kristen says she can't. John tells her he'll let her walk out that door right now if she can tell him he doesn't mean anything to her. However, meanwhile Peter is on the phone to Curtis, telling him it's time to come back to Salem and finish the job... Jamie comes into the staff room and finds Sami on the floor. Sami comes too and makes Jamie give her the candy bar. Jamie urges her to go and see Dr. Dorman and tell him what happened but Sami tries to make out she's fine. She leaves the room and Jamie says she hopes Sami will forgive her but she can't think of any other way. At the house, Roman asks Marlena again what's wrong and she just passes it off as being a very pregnant day. He thanks her again for giving him the chance to start over with this new baby and talks about Sami, Carrie and Eric. Marlena just wishes she could have been there for them more. Roman asks if there's a problem with her and Sami and she just says a little snag, but they'll sort it out. She goes into the kitchen and Roman answers the door. Jamie comes in and tells him all about the bulimia, saying that she didn't know what else to do and she hopes that he will be able to help Sami. Roman reminds her that Sami's mother is a psychiatrist and Jamie says that she knows Marlena has been trying to help Sami but Sami just refuses to admit there's anything wrong. Roman is shocked that Marlena knew and when Marlena comes out of the kitchen with drinks she realizes what's up. Roman can't believe she didn't tell him about something this important, especially when she knew how upset he was when she kept Carrie's secrets from him. Marlena tries to tell him that she was trying to get Sami to see a doctor but he's too upset to really listen. Sami comes home and Roman tells her he's going to make everything all right. He tells her knows about the bulimia, but she tries to deny it. Then she rushes to a chair and hides her face. Marlena tells Roman to go away - she'll talk to Sami about this. He walks out on her, still disbelieving of the fact she kept this from him. Marlena goes to speak to Sami and tries to tell her that she didn't tell Roman. Sami says if she doesn't leave her alone she's going to hear a few home truths and then Sami won't be the only one who is sorry. Marlena wants to know what that means and Sami says she wants to know why she broke her word and told Dad. Marlena says that she didn't. Sami accuses her of lying and Marlena says she's not - she knows she's always been honest with her. Sami says Honest? She knows that's what Marlena would like everybody to believe, she knows she's not the perfect wife and mother everybody would like to think she is. Marlena asks what she's implying now. Sami yells that she knows what Marlena did. She knows she slept with John. She saw her.......
