After a little lip from an argumentative Sami, Lucas gets his uniform back He goes to the Penthouse Grill to have lunch with Kate, Jenn and Jack. Kate wants Jack to accept Victor's offer and this be her ally at Titan.
Abe finds out about Wendy's baby being at Jonah's.
Roman comes up to Titan to meet Marlena for dinner at the Penthouse Grill. She is definitely upset and Roman can tell something is wrong, but tells him that it is about a patient. She says she wants to go out and get some fresh air by herself and Roman gets paged to the station. Later he meets with Sami at the Penthouse Grill for the dinner and discovers that Marlena is not there and hasn't called. He begins to get worried about her and John, who happens to be there too, suggests that if her problem was with a patient, then maybe she is at the hospital. She isn't though, she is wandering the streets, first at the pier where she imagines telling the family that the baby may not be Roman's and their horrified reactions, and then Roman attacking John after she tells him she's pregnant. Then she wanders down a deserted street and is almost hit by a car when she wanders onto the road in a daze. Pulling herself together, she continues down the pavement until she comes to a woman's clinic....
Tuesday 27th April 1993

Vivian decides to go to a herbalist and gets some herbs that will make Carly irrational so that people will believe that she is capable of murder. She gets home and sprinkles some in Carly's soup.
Meanwhile, Carly has been having premonitions that something is going to happen to Bo, which of course it does because Lawrence has told Taylor to kill Mitch, so Taylor shoots Bo.
Abe and Lexie argue over Wendy's baby
Marlena talks to the counselor at the woman's clinic. Eventually, she decides that she'll have to have a termination as she can't hurt her family anymore. She tells herself that she has to stop being selfish and thoughtless. (Oh please!) The counselor gives her a card for Saturday morning.
Later Marlena runs into Lexie who conveniently asks her advice on having children. Marlena remembers her previous pregnancies and how everything seems insignificant when you are holding a baby in your arms. Lexie asks her how abortion can be the right solution and Marlena is obviously wondering the same thing. Lexie leaves and Marlena uses a pay-phone to call home and leave a message on the answerphone saying that she is helping out a patient and will be home later. However as soon as she gets off the phone is mugged...
Wednesday 28th April 1993

Roman talks to Abe at the pub - he is concerned that he hasn't heard from Marlena. Lexie arrives and tells him she talked to Marlena in the park. Roman thinks that she might be home and leaves. Abe tells Lexie that he will keep quiet about Wendy's baby for now. At home, Carrie asks Sami why she is so at odds with Marlena, did Marlena catch her doing something she shouldn't have been. Sami wants to know why Carrie automatically assumes it's her fault. Carrie just wants to help them work it out. Sami tells her if she wants to help, she should tell Marlena to stop lying to Roman then. Carrie says that Marlena doesn't lie to Roman. Sami retorts that Carrie doesn't know anything about relationships, just look at the way she's treating Austin. Carrie tells Sami to back off and runs upstairs.
When Roman comes home, he tells them that he still hasn't found Marlena. He tells them that the last place he saw her was at Titan - talking to John and some other people. Sami suddenly says that she has to go and see Jamie, but really goes to John's. She asks John if her Mom is there, but then Rebecca comes down and Sami runs out.
Back at the house, Roman gets Marlena's message on the machine and thinks she is okay, but Abe, at his home, gets a call and rushes over to Roman's. There he tells Roman that somebody found Marlena's purse at the park, but she was no-where to be seen. Roman and Abe get to the pier where John and Lexie (who he had called to find out what was going on) show up. John tries to convince Roman to let him help search for Marlena. Before Roman can refuse him, a cop comes down to the pier and tells Roman that there's no sign of Marlena in the area - does he want them to dredge the river?
Bo is okay, just a bullet graze. Billie comes down and scares Taylor off, but she sees her shoes and knows that they are police issue. They go back to the motel and Billie fixes Bo's wound. They talk, and Bo asks Billie who is her ideal man. She describes him and leaves hurriedly when she realizes that she has just described Bo.
Carly eats the soup with the herbs in and gets irritable, just as Vivian has planned. She shouts at Viv in front of Nikki, undoing all the good work that she has thus far done.
Thursday 29th April 1993

Austin goes over to Jenn's to organize the TV appeal to Wendy.
Roman paces around in the office coordinating the search for Marlena and generally being pissed off at John. Victor comes down and tells John if he hadnít known about J&M before, he would now. The last time he saw concern like that on John's face, it was over Isabella.
Lexie comes in and tells Roman that a patrol has brought Marlena in, but when he goes down, it is a homeless woman, wearing Marlena's coat.
Friday 30th April 1993
(Friday 5th December 1997 in NZ)
After Roman discovers the homeless woman is wearing Marlena's engagement and wedding rings and yells and screams at her for ten minutes, hero John manages to get her to tell them where she got Marlenaís coat and rings. She takes them to the park where Marlena was lying, but she is gone. Roman finds blood on the grass.
Meanwhile, Marlena has awakened and been accosted by a guy wanting her gold chain. She is saved by Wendy wielding a log of wood. When they hear voices, Wendy shepherds Marlena off. She takes her down to the pier and assumes that Marlena is homeless (in *those* clothes?) She assumes Marlena was beaten by her boyfriend (why?) and decides to take her with her to Chicago, even though Marlena has a bad cut on the head, obvious amnesia and is clearly distraught. (Hello. None of this makes ANY sense.) Wendy wraps a blanket around her, leaves her alone on the pier and goes off to buy bus tickets.
Back at the station, Sami comes by to drop off a clean shirt for Roman but they keep Marlenaís disappearance from her, so as not to worry her.
Jenn and Austin do their homeless show to try and get Wendy to come out of hiding. Carrie comes down to the studio to donate some old clothes and runs into Austin. He can see in her eyes that she still loves him and he kisses her. Meanwhile, Jack has stopped the presses to put Wendy's story on the front page and Jenn is thrilled...
