March 22-26, 1993 Updates
Monday 22nd March 1993

While Taylor makes sure that Bo is alone down at the pier, Mitch beats Cash to within an inch of his life. Afterward, Taylor and Bo get called to the scene where Cash regains consciousness for a moment and says it was Bo that did it.
Marlena gets to the loft and Becpuka opens the door, dressed in John's shirt. John comes down asking Rebecca if she wants to take a shower with him (eeeewwww!) He sees that Mar is at the door and is immediately uncomfortable, as is she. Marlena tells him she came by to give him a plaque for the Toscano Foundation (for their charitable donations). She gives it to him and then leaves in a hurry. Rebecca picks up on John's discomfort.
Marlena gets home and finds Carrie in the corner. She gets her to the couch and tells her that she understands how Carrie feels. Carrie tells her that she doesn't know, she is still beautiful, she still has someone to love her. Marlena wants to call Anna, but when Carrie Says no, she suggests Austin. Carrie again says no and runs upstairs.
John arrives and Marlena tells him about Carrie. They talk about the hoe known as Rebecca. Marlena tells John she is jealous but also glad. She tells him she has decided to recommit to her family, they need her now and she loves Roman. She says that she feels a little better now, having seen Rebecca. He says he just wants her to be happy. She wants the same for him. They smile and say goodbye, both trying to pretend their hearts are not breaking, but once John is out the door, the tears fall on both their faces....

Kate contacts Billie and offers her an option on the book.
Jenn is worried about her love-life with Jack.
Cash is in hospital and Bo is under internal affairs investigation.
Marlena apologizes to Roman for what happened with Austin and Carrie. Roman goes up to see Carrie, who doesnít want to know. Roman goes out and John comes over, he has been to see Kate and he relays her message to Marlena about their concern for Carrie and whether she should be withdrawn from the Face of the ë90ís contest. She gets flustered and knocks the candlestick off the table. They both go to pick it up and their hands connect, the sparks flying. Roman chooses this moment to arrive home. John tells him about the decision they have to make and then leaves. Later Marlena and Roman head upstairs, toast their relationship with champagne and then scrump.
Wednesday 24th March 1993

Bo comes back to the apartment to find Billie in her towel. She drops her towel, giving Bo an eyeful. Later they have French toast for breakfast (cute ;0)) and then go down to the station. Billie gives her statement
about the night Cash was beaten. Taylor, under Lawrence's instructions, takes a video tape and drops it off at Jenn's. Phillip and Jenn watch it and Phillip takes it down to the station.
Rebecca is in the loft when John comes down (she's let herself in). She offers to cook him an omelet for breakfast. The moment is awkward, (due to the fact that she is a presumptuous witch) but then John asks her to stay. But she is paged (thank G*d!) and has to go to the office. Later John sees Abe and Abe tells him he is glad to see John with Rebecca. (One strike against Abe in my book).
Marlena brings Roman breakfast in bed. Roman tells her about John and the hoe getting close while she was away. Marlena says she knows and thinks it is a good thing. They get back to the Carrie and Austin matter - Marlena wants Carrie to talk to Kim but Roman doesn't want that so Mar gives in. They are kissing when Marlena sees Sami at the door. The daughter from hell offers to make Roman breakfast. Marlena says that this has gone too far, she wants to know why Sami is being cold towards her. Roman goes and leaves them to it, but Sami doesn't want to talk. Marlena says that if she's done something to hurt Sami then she is really sorry. Sami wants to know why she is being so concerned, she's always so wrapped up in herself that she doesn't notice anybody else. She runs out leaving an astonished Marlena.
Marlena heads off to the Bella board meeting, John is there, having been delivered some eggs from Rebecca, with a note saying she owes him an omelet. He seems to think this is funny (why? someone care to fill me in on the joke?) He comments that Marlena and Roman seem to be closer. Marlena tells him that the Carrie thing brought them closer. John asks her if she's finally done what he's been trying to do for ages, got him out of her mind? She says yes she has but he calls her a liar.....
Thursday 25th March 1993

Phillip gives Bo the tape and tries to warn him but Bo takes it into the office and they watch it. As a result, Roman is forced to ask for Bo's badge.
John tells Marlena that he knows she's lying, because every time he says the same thing, he is lying. She says that they can't go on like this and he agrees. He tells her he will resign and she says he can't, this is for Isabella. She offers to resign but he tells her she can't, as she is writing the column. Victor and Kate interrupt them and they begin to discuss the Carrie issue. Austin interrupts them and makes an impassioned plea for them to let Carrie stay in the contest. After he leaves, they talk and agree that she should stay in. Later Marlena sees Kim, who got the news from Mickey earlier that the judge agreed the murder was self-defence. Kim tells Mar that she will go and talk to Carrie as an aunt, surely Roman can't disagree with that. Marlena arrives back home and walks in on a confrontation between Carrie and Roman. Carrie runs upstairs and Marlena questions Roman as to what is going on. He changes the subject though and tells her about Bo.
