Monday 1st March 1993

(Monday 6th October 1997 in NZ)

Bo asks Carly to marry him for about the 4 millionth time and she says yes. They all head back to Lawrence's place and Bo tells Larry he's borrowing his limo. Bo and Carly spend the rest of the episode bonking and Lawrence caressing his little gun. When Carly goes back to her room at the inn the following morning she finds Lawrence waiting for her.

John and Marlena complete their conference table tryst after lots of moaning and John affirming that this is right...just like it was on the plane. They're meant to be together. Unfortunately sweet little Sami sees them at this juncture and lives are changed forever. She rushes off to the lift where she finds Roman who is looking for his wife. She gets him back up to the party but he tries to find out what is wrong. Meanwhile down in the conference room Marlena is smoothing her dress and checking her makeup. She can't even look at herself in the mirror. She doesn't know why she does this, why *they* do this when they know that it's wrong. John tells her that they can't help themselves. He asks her if she can deny that they make each other happy, if she regrets making love to him. With tears in her eyes she whispers that he makes her very happy, she doesn't regret that. But she says, he has to understand that this will be the last time. As difficult as it may be, she will stay faithful to Roman from now on....

She rushes from the room and back up to the party where Sami is about to spill all to Roman. She is surprised to see both of them and thinks that Sami is upset because of the boy she has a crush on. Sami tells them he came with another girl and then runs off. Roman asks Marlena to leave her be and then apologizes for his behavior saying it was none of his business whether she took the job or not. They kiss but their evening is soon interrupted by Jonah who tells them about Carrie. They rush to the hospital where the news is not good. Sami is sulking and won't talk to John or her Mom. John is having a hard time not being able to comfort Marlena- but Sami catches the surreptitious squeeze of the hand that he gives her and decides that it's time to tell her Daddy something very important.....

Tuesday 2nd March 1993

(Tuesday 7th October 1997 in NZ)

Lawrence tells Carly that they have to get along for Nikki's sake. Then he tells her that maybe Nikki can come and visit him in summers in Italy. Carly asks him what is he talking about Italy. He says he is thinking of moving, it is for the best. He is almost in tears when he says that he doesn't think he can stay in the same town and watch her with her new family. However when he gets back home he tells Vivian that he *will* break Carly and Bo up. And he has a very good cause to think that as it is revealed that Taylor is his inside "man".

At the hospital Sami wants to tell Roman about Marlena and John but every time she is about to, something gets in the way. Caroline brings Marlena some clothes to change into. She heads down to the chapel to pray fro Carrie but is unnerved as John sits next to her and the conversation turns to them. She is blaming herself for Carrie's accident, if she hadn't been with John but with her family maybe this would not have happened. When they get back to the trauma center, Austin wakes up and remembers that it was Gus who threw the acid. Roman blames him and Marlena blames herself (and so it begins) and John for not telling Roman about Austin's problems. Meanwhile Austin is distraught at Carrie's injuries.......

Wednesday 3rd March 1993

(Wednesday 8th October 1997 in NZ)

Pretty slow day. Jenn tries to get an interview with Kate and only succeeds when Kate discovers that she is part of the Horton family. Meanwhile Jack is trying to get the manuscript back from Kate's locked desk and is caught in her office by Kate and Jenn.

Roman and Bo track down Gus Bartoli but he has already been strangled by the time they get there. In the highlight of the show, after finding out that John knew about the trouble between Gus and Austin, Roman tells John that he's had enough of his involvement with his wife and children and he wants them out of their lives. John understands that Roman is upset, but, he tells him in no uncertain terms, they are his life and he has no intention of walking out on them now.

At different stages, everyone goes to see Carrie who is still unconscious. Sami tells her about John and Marlena (kinda felt sorry for Sami here I must admit), Roman tells her he loves her despite what she may think, John tells her that he loves her too and he won't let them go and Austin tells her that he is so sorry for what happened. Then she wakes up.......

Thursday 4th March 1993

(Thursday 9th October 1997 in NZ)

Carrie wants to know what's happened to her face. She's terribly upset when Austin tells her. Roman gets to the room, tells Austin he wants to see his daughter alone and tries to comfort Carrie. He tells her that he will do *anything* for her and she tells her that she wants him to ask Austin to come back to the room. He does but after Carrie is asleep he calls Austin outside and tells him if he doesn't stay away from his daughter he will have him up on charges that will send him to the State Pen.

More Jack/Jenn/Kate stuff that I didn't really watch. Kate now knows that Jenn is Bill's daughter and she has found the manuscript.

Nikki goes to testify about the night that Lisanne dies. He still doesn't know that she died when he pushed her and the judge believes him. The judge rules that it was accidental death but the rest of them were involved in a cover-up. However he doesn't charge them. Viv takes Nikki home and Lawrence follows. Carly and Bo are packing her stuff at the Inn when Lawrence calls and tells them that they are ready to tell Nikki the truth.....

Friday 5th March 1993

(Friday 10th October 1997 in NZ)

Lawrence tells Nikki that he is his father (*finally*) and the kid is over the moon. Then he tells Nikki that they also know who his mother is. Nikki wants to know who and Carly walks out from her hiding place behind the stairs. However Vivian has done a little background manipulation to ensure that Nikki won't be thrilled about this turn of events.

Roman finds Sami at the pub and is less then thrilled to see the headline and photo in the paper that proclaim that Marlena and Carrie are John's wife and daughter. Shawn tells him that John is not doing this on purpose - he's a good man and Roman should think on that. Roman (or the character that used to be Roman before Reilly got hold of him) fumes silently. Meanwhile John slips over to Marlena's to tell her that Roman knows that he knew about Austin's problems. He doesn't want her to tell Roman that she knew - he doesn't want to cause problems. Or does he? Suddenly he is telling her that she has to leave Roman and come back with him. Marlena, already spinning from the whole she-slept-with-John-at-the-party-and-Carrie-got-injured thing is thrown for a loop. No she can't leave Roman, she loves him. John thinks she *loved* him but now she has eyes only for Black. (Pity he can't remember that these days.....) She doesn't actually disagree with him, but then hears Roman pull up and begs John not to let Roman see him there. John wants to stand and face him, to stop all the game-playing, but eventually agrees to go for Marlena. Roman and Sami come in and Sami heads upstairs to write in her diary about what a monster her mother is and then sob pitifully. Downstairs, Roman wants John out of their lives. Marlena, more than a little confused about how she feels about everything thinks that if Roman thinks that it must be right......

Kate discovers that Marlena is on the board and arranges to have dinner with her and Roman. Meanwhile John and Vic are about to head upstairs to the Penthouse Grill.
