There was Billie and Jack and "Hit the Road Jack" was playing on the pier, but we kinda FFed through that.
Sami went to Carrie's apt. to take the candles, CD player,etc over there for Carrie and Austin's romantic night out. On the way up, she gets stuck in the elevator (freaking out) with Austin - a.k.a.the really cute guy Sami's so smitten with that she *forgets* to ask his name *again* so she and Carrie *still* don't get 4 out of eyes and ears. Anyway, Austin's all nice and sweet and calms Sami down and reads her palm and plays music and yadda yadda. They finally get out (I assume -doesn't actually *show* it, but they're not together after Carrie comes up). After the party, Carrie kicks Sami out (she's taking the *stairs*this time) just before Austin (who obviously took the elevator again) comes in. Austin promises her when he gets the cast off, they're going to go to the mountains and finally be together.'
There was Kim and Phillip together, but again, didn't watch.
Everyone at Wings is in shock over John's bid of $100,000 for the dance with Marlena. "Unchained Melody" starts to play, John reaches out and takes Marlena's hand. Everybody claps when they get close enough to dance and Marlena manages to plaster on a smile. She asks what he's doing here and he says he knew she was here....Rebecca originally invited him, but she was called away (thank *God*). They continue to dance, and Marlena tells him they can all see how he feels. And how she feels, he asks? No - to them, they're just two good friends...who used to be married. Marlena notices he's taken off his wedding ring and John affirms that he's decided it's time to move on. The dance ends and folks are still stunned over John's bid. (It's obvious that Victor and Kim both have an inkling of what's going on now). Of course,through the remainder of the party, everyone's commenting on how stable Roman and Marlena's marriage is and how perfect all is between them (funny how *everyone* in Salem has commented on it in the past few days - I think even *Vivian's* mentioned it!). Kim comes up to Marlena and they talk (don't exactly remember what about - I was still oohing and aahing over that *dance*) and Kim mentions that John's gone. Marlena tells Kim to tell Alice and Tom goodbye and she starts to leave. She realizes that Roman took the car and asks the valet to call a cab. Before he can, John steps out of his Cherokee (a rockin' man in a rockin' car- and he was *waiting* for Mar! - wow. That *almost* rhymed. *Anyway*...). He tells Marlena he'll drive her home, she protests,he insists, she says okay, but *straight* home, no stopping (no *bonking*in other words, and keep your paws to yourself, but of course, Mar's *way*to refined to say that). She gets in the car and says *again* how she's married to Roman and loves Roman and won't betray him again. John tells her he'll stop making her uncomfortable and he won't tell her anymore how much he loves her. But he wants her to know that he'll think about her everyday - he won't forget how much he loves her and he won't forget what it's like to make love to her. And he wants herto know that, if the time ever comes when she wants him, he'll take heron whatever terms she asks. She says there will be no terms as it's not going to happen. It's *over* for them. They pull up at Mar's place and John leans across to open the door (sparks *fly*, too). Marlena's all flustered and hot and bothered and rushes out of the car,not replying to his "I love you, Doc.”
The show ends with a montage to "All at Once" starting with Bo dreaming about Carly, going to Carly and her old wedding gown,going to John looking over Brady's crib, then sitting in the rocker and fiddling with the watch Mar gave him, longing for the love of his life.Finally, it cuts to Marlena looking out the window before snuggling down in bed (in her robe and full make-up, no less). Roman comes up and stands over her as she falls asleep, then leans over and plants a kiss on her cheek. When he leaves, she opens her eyes and a few tears look ready to escape & ;sob>. End of show.
Carly and Bo were on. Ho-hum.
Jack and Jen were on. Yawn.
Larry and Viv were on. Boooooring.
Carrie and Austin were on. Okay - so it was cute when Carrie dressed up as a barber to help Austin shave (question - is he left handed? Cuz that's the hand that's hurt and he said he can't shave with the cast on - really???)
Whaddya know. A 15 minute episode of Days.
Okay as usual lately we fast-forwarded through most of the storylines. From memory there was Lawrence, Carly, Viv and Nikki. Jack, Jenn, Jo and Billie .
Marlena and Roman are home in the morning and Marlena picks up the mail from the box. In there are the pictures from the anniversary party. She opens them but the top one is of she and John staring at each other. She puts down the photos as Roman comes downstairs and hugs her. They talk about some stuff that I can't quite remember .he says something about John and she says that he really doesn't have to be jealous of John. He says that he knows, but sometimes he wonders what would have happened if he had never come back would she and John still be married? She tells him that she is where she belongs, the only pace she wants to be, with Roman Brady. She is in tears as he hugs her and then tells her that he just wants to protect her from everything all the bad guys out there and all the bad guys in here. He tells her that he can sense that she is unhappy. She tells him he can't help her but things will be okay. He says that he just wants to know that she is where she really wants to be. It went kinda like this anyway the upshot being that Roman says he doesn't know what he would do if he lost her, which reduces her to tears. Anyway, she makes him breakfast, but before he can eat much, he decides to go and talk to Carrie right now.
Marlena heads off to work where she has another session with Kim. Kim tells her that Claire came out last night when she got home but Phillip was thankfully asleep. She is terrified of losing control but Mar, being the great shrink that she is tells her that she will be able to manage it. They do a hypnotherapy session but nothing happens.
Meanwhile Roman heads over to Carrie's but finds her at Austin's among the shambles of his ruined apartment. It has been wrecked but they tell Roman it was just a robbery. They end up having a huge argument (which we didn't watch) and Roman leaves. Austin leaves too and Roman sees him later on talking to Gus Bartoli. Back at the apartment Carrie calls Marlena and asks her to come over as it is urgent. Marlena says that she will and tells Kim she has to go. Carrie also calls someone else ..
Marlena gets to the apartment and they talk about Roman and Austin until there is a knock at the door. Marlena asks Carrie if she was expecting someone else and Carrie says yes, she called John and asked him to come over.
Bo gets the results back from the lab and there was some skin and blood embedded in the stone cat. However they need some of Lisanne's blood to do a DNA comparison. He eventually gets a call from the blood bank at the hospital. They say that Lisanne was booked in for surgery this month and had stored some of her own blood for transfusions. Bo says he will get down there right away but in the meantime Lawrence gets a call from his informant and he rushes down to the hospital. Under threat of taking Nikki to Europe he manages to talk Carly into pulling the blood for him.
John and Marlena talk to Carrie who tells them that Austin is being threatened by Gus who lost money because Austin threw the fight. Marlena is upset and wants Carrie to tell Roman. Carrie refuses and begs that they give the money to her so she can pay Gus off with what he lost. John says they can't give in to a man like that -- he'll just come back for more. They tell her that they will help in anyway they can and she leaves after John persuades Marlena to stay and talk to him. They talk for several moments before the conversation turns around to them. Marlena tells him she doesn't have feelings for him anymore, she is committed to Roman. He tells her that he can't believe that she can turn off her feelings like that. He can't. He tells her that he has gotten rid of everything that reminds him of her in the loft but she is still there. Every time he goes to bed he can see her, he can hear her voice, he can feel her in his arms and he can feel her body next to his. He says he knows that her family is important to her but he can't help how he feels, He loves her and she loves him, so what do they do now? She says that it's all her fault she never should have gone to the plane. He says doesn't she get it? If it hadn't been the plane, it would have been somewhere else. It was inevitable, just like it is inevitable that they will be together again. She says that it isn't inevitable that they will be together it isn't. She will fight these feelings and she will win. She says she has to go but he tells her she is too upset to leave like this and asks her not to go. She says she has to and manages to get out the door before she crumbles .
Bo asks Carly if she took Lisanne's blood from the blood-bank and she admits that yes, she did.
They argue, Bo telling her that not only the marriage license but also his trust in her has expired but when Bo gets back to the station it turns out that the blood is down at the lab. Carly sent it by messenger before he had the argument with her. Lawrence's informant calls and tells him that they have the blood and Lawrence decides to take Nikki to Europe. He instructs Ivan to let Carly know every detail. When she turns up at the house Ivan offers to drive her to the plane.
Bo asks Taylor if she has suspicions about anyone in the office as he thinks that there is a plant. (no sh*t sherlock! Pity you can't work out it's your partner.) Then he gets a call from the guard at the Alamain estate telling him that Carly has gone somewhere with Ivan. He works out that they are leaving the country and rushes off to the lab before rushing off to the plane. At said plane Lawrence is telling Carly that he wants her to come to Europe with him and she is telling him that he can't ask her to make that decision. Of course she doesn't have to as Bo turns up and tells Lawrence that he isn't going anywhere.
Jenn makes a tape of her new style and goes down to the station. Phillip is still trying to talk Sandra Stevens out of the Alamain expose and the president (Mr. Randle) agrees with him. Jenn turns up and talks him into looking at her tape. He does and just before the show goes to air tells the whole crew that he is firing Sandra and reinstating Jenn. Jenn gets to take over her show immediately. ;0)
Billie gets a call from Tony who is at the airport and freaks out. She goes down to see Jack. She tells Jack that she needs the money and Jack says he will have it by the time Tony gets there .as long as Billie goes nowhere near his wife. However as Billie is down by the pub, Tony catches up with her ..
