The ballistics report arrived at Roman's house at Thanksgiving dinner. Austin asked to be allowed to see it. Outside Bo and Billie talked about rewriting history and what they would do if they had met under different circumstances. Roman interrupted to announce the report had arrived. Bo read it and told Billie that the gun they found in her drawer was the murder weapon. Roman offered to take Bo off the case but Bo asked to be kept on it so he could prove that Billie was innocent. Bo arrested Billie and read her her rights. He didn't want to cuff her but Billie told him she understood he was only doing his job. At the police station she was fingerprinted and photographed.
At the penthouse grill, Alice asked John to join the Hortons. During dinner Tom seemed to be tired or in pain. Tony and Kristen came over to say hello and Tony told them that the invitations to his and Kristen's wedding had been mailed. Mickey was paged and came back to the table announcing that Billie had been arrested. John refused to believe that she was guilty. Later Kristen went outside to get some air and encountered John out there. She told him that Billie's arrest proved Stefano was innocent but John told her that an arrest did not prove guilt. He reminded Kristen that he had until her wedding day to find proof that Stefano was guilty.
At the Brady house, Carrie told Austin she was surprised that he did not spend the holiday with Brandee. Austin was confused by this but did not have the opportunity to respond as they were interrupted by Marlena.
At Pinehaven Viv realised that Laura was responsive prior to her taking medication whereas Kate's visit the previous day was just after she took medication and that is most likely why she did not react. She figured that if her medication was reduced, then there was a greater chance of her coming out of her catatonic state. She told Ivan to apply for a nurse's assistant position. While giving Mrs Goldberg a neck massage, he asked her and she agreed. Viv instructed Ivan to halve Laura's medication.
Austin realised that he would need to raise money for Billie's bail, even though it had not been set yet. Carrie had the same idea. While talking, the subject of Brandee came up and Carrie told Austin that she knew Brandee was at the cabin with him. Austin told Carrie that he had not invited her and that nothing happened between them. Brandee arrived back from Milan and Austin told her to tell Carrie nothing happened between them. Lucas told Brandee not to say anything to Carrie.
Carrie asked Kate to give Billie back her company, so she could use it to raise money for legal expenses. Kate refused. Lucas managed to talk Kate into allowing Carrie to remain working for Countess Willhemina and carrie was grateful to Lucas for this. Austin asked Kate for a job, playing piano at the penthouse grill, to raise money for Billie. Kate reluctantly agreed but told Austin she was doing it for him and not for Billie. Austin also asked Jennifer for her support in asking the studio bosses for an advance in his salary. Jen readily agreed.
Jennifer tracked down the Mr Patterson who owned the jewellery store in Chicago that sold Austin's mother's wedding ring.
Tom was in an bad mood at the hospital because Alice had let him sleep in and rescheduled his morning meeting. Later, Jonah and Marlena pointed out that he had made a mistake on a patient's chart - something he had never done before.
John asked Roman to be allowed, unofficially, to help with the Curtis Brown murder investigation. John wants to prove that Stefano is responsible. Kristen confronted Stefano asking him whether he had anything to do with the murder but Stefano swore that he did not. Later John tried to convince Kristen that Stefano is lying but she would not listen. Roman and John went to question Stefano again.
Stefano visited Marlena in her office and through conversation believes she is keeping a secret. Later he asked to speak to Sami and pretended he did not know she was Roman and Marlena's daughter.
Sami panicked when she found out Isabella's blood tests were to be repeated to find the source of error in the original results. Later Jamie told Sami about a friend of theirs from high school who had had a baby and was now arranging a private adoption of the child.
Marlena and Kristen had a long talk at the nursery at the hospital. Marlena told Kristen all about the joys of motherhood. Kristen confided that she would like to have a baby one day. Marlena warned her that choosing a father for a child is serious business. A marriage can be ended but a father was a father for life.
Tom is still in a bad mood and snapped at Sami and jamie and later snapped at Alice when she asked him about his suit for Tony and Kristen's wedding. As he walked away from Alice, he collapsed and a nurse who ran to him could not find a pulse.
While Roman and John were questioning Stefano and Peter, some papers fell on the floor. A drawing of a woman outside a house caused John to go into a trance. After waking from this, he attacked Stefano threatening to kill him. Peter and Roman broke up the fight. Later John realised that a white stud found at the murder scene was part of a hospital bracelet. He and Roman discovered that Stefano needed a new bracelet the morning after Curtis's murder. John hurried to Kristen in hopes that this evidence would change her mind about marrying Tony.
Marlena continued to tell Kristen that she should consider future children when deciding between John and Tony. She told Kristen how John was a wonderful father but Kristen insisted that Tony would be an equally good father.
Sami overheard a hospital worker tell Marlena that Belle's blood tests would be repeated the following day. Sami also visited her friend who had just given her baby up for adoption to lend her support.
Tom regained consciousness and insisted he was fine. A doctor suggested that he should stay overnight for observation and so that tests could be run. Although, reluctant, Alice convinced him to go along with this.
Billie had the nightmare about shooting Curtis again. Bo saw her and asked what she had been dreaming about but she lied saying she could not remember. Later she told Austin that she intended on pleading guilty at her arraignment that afternoon. Austin couldn't convince her this was a bad idea and told Bo, hoping that he would be able to convince her to change her mind.
Kristen was unimpressed with the hospital bracelet found near Curtis's body. She claimed it did not prove anything and told John that she was still going ahead with her marriage to Tony the following day.
Roman and Marlena went out to dinner at the penthouse grill leaving Sami to look after Belle. At dinner they saw John who told them about Kristen's non-reaction to the bracelet. Roman and John saw Fred Harris, the policeman guarding Stefano, eating lobster and drinking champagne. Later the waiter told John that Mr Harris was a regular customer always spending a lot of money and leaving large tips for the waiters. This made John suspicious.
Sami was worrying about the blood tests the following day which would show that Roman was not Belle's father. She was worried that this news would destroy her father and she voiced her hatred for Marlena and John and their affair. After Sami put Belle to bed, an unknown person dressed in black broke into the room and went to Belle's crib.
Billie told Bo that she was pleading guilty because she wasn't sure if she did kill Curtis. Bo pleaded with her to enter a plea of not guilty and to give him the chance to prove her innocence. Billie did plea not guilty, much to the relief of Bo, Austin, Carrie, Jonah, Shawn and Caroline. The assistant DA, Pat Hamilton, asked the judge to deny bail. Mickey told the judge that Billie had no history of violent crimes and posed no flight risk. The judge set bail for 1 million dollars. Billie's friends lamented on their inability to raise such an amount while Bo walked off. Later Sean and Caroline told billie that they had paid her bail but Billie could not believe that they had been able to raise the money. Shawn admitted that it was Bo who had paid the bail. Billie went to Bo's boat and worked out that Bo must have mortgaged the boat to raise the money. She asked him why he had done that. He answered that he thought she would know by now and kissed her.
