Jenn finds out that Jack lost his job and tells him what she thinks of him. She tells him what she and Austin have been doing and Jack realizes that Vic knew. He rushes off to confront Victor. Jack warns Vic that he will expose him and Kate if he is not reinstated at the Spectator with full benefits. Vic laughs and tells Jack that he is the one going down today....
Meanwhile Austin goes to see Billie to let off steam about Jenn's situation. Billie thinks he may be starting to have feelings for Jenn. Then she tells him about Carly coming back to life. Kate turns up and tells Billie that she's onto her. She demands to know the truth about the book but thinks Billie is playing dumb. She leaves, telling Billie to get out of Salem. As soon as she walks out of the apartment, Billie gets a call from Curtis. He tells her he's in Salem and he needs her help.
Bo has Carly under house arrest and he comes to take her passport away. Then he brings things to remind Carly of their life together. Lawrence heads down to the police station to cause trouble. Back at the house Carly tells Bo that even if things happened as he said, it has all been wiped from her mind. She pleads tiredness and goes to rest but Bo grabs her and says if there's one thing that makes her remember, it'll be this. He grabs her and plants a big kiss on her as Lawrence walks in the door.
Thursday 7th October 1993

Marlena gets news that the baby will be just fine, but when Sami wants to know what they are talking about Marlena tells her that it's nothing that she has to worry about. Sami does worry though as Roman tries to persuade Marlena to go away to the medical conference. However she manages to get the truth out of Jenn and Austin. Jamie suspects that there was something up but Sami tells her to leave it.
Lawrence yells at Bo to get away from Katerina. Bo thinks that she remembers him but she tells him she doesn't. Bo commandeers the house as a temporary police station much to Lawrence's chagrin. Marlena arrives and tells Bo that she has been doing some research. She thinks the way to breakthrough Carly's amnesia might be to bring her face to face with Nikki. They organize to have Nikki brought to the house, although Lawrence tries to find a way to get him away before they can get to him.
Victor tells Jack that he has been cleaning up Tract Five and that Harper Devereaux was responsible for the dumping of the toxic chemicals on the ground that they are talking about. *That* was why he was so eager to get his hands on the Spectator (who owned the land). Victor tells Jack that's why he broke his ties with Harper, they knew it was wrong, even back then. But Harper just brought in another partner, on paper anyway. He just flew in once a month and rubber stamped so that Harper's name would not be on the forms. That man was Jack. Jack is pretty devastated as Vic tells him he's going to be exposed. He tries the line about leaking Kate's past to he press but Vic doesn't buy that either. He says Jack won't do that unless he wants to hurt Jenn even more....you see, he's got one more ace up his sleeve.
John and Kristen argue about her lies and her agenda. He doesn't believe that she's genuine and she whines that she loves him. Ugh. He's actually crying as Stefano calls his spawn back to his side. He has supposedly fallen over, he tells Kristen he blacked out but John won't help him. He tells him that he wishes he was dead but first he has to pay for what he's done and John will be the one to send him to hell. Later Stefano lies and tells Kristen that John attacked him and left him to die, that's why he's sick now. Finally they get off the island and John runs into Roman at the hospital. He wants to know where Marlena is. Roman wants to know why he needs to know. John says because he has to tell her. He points behind Roman where Stefano is sitting in a wheelchair....
Friday 8th October 1993

Victor makes Jack read an excerpt of Kate's journal relating to the man with whom she had an affair. Then he reveals to Jack the identity of the man as he hands Jack a photo. Jack laughs at the irony and says that this is something Jennifer would never understand. Jack heads home and makes to tell Jenn the truth about the pollution but she gets Austin down to hear it.
Bo bursts into the house and tells Lawrence that Nikki is missing and wants to know what he is trying to pull. Carly overhears him and comes down wanting to know who Nikki is. Lawrence manages to convince her that he will tell her later. She heads back upstairs and Lawrence tells him that he will not find him. Bo tells him he will never give up. Lawrence goes upstairs and a cop comes in and tells Bo that they have a lead on Vivian and may have her in custody by the end of the day. Bo decides to use the time he has left to find Nikki.
Roman can't believe that Stefano is still alive and he threatens to arrest Stefano. Kristen tells him to stay away from her father and Roman is shocked to hear that he's her father. John tells Roman that's something she neglected to tell him. John decides to go and keep an eye on them while Roman organizes the warrant for Stephano's arrest. They both agree that it was lucky that Marlena wasn't here to see him and that Roman has some time to prepare her. However, as they both walk off, Marlena comes out of the elevator. John and Kristen fight about Stephano again, and John says he can't believe he touched her, let alone made love to her. That's one mistake he'll not soon repeat. (YEAH RIGHT!!! What, Mr. I can't keep it in my pants Black???). Marlena is told by one of the nurses that she has left her briefcase at the nurses station. She goes to retrieve it and sees a patient in a wheelchair and thinks he looks familiar. She goes to talk to the doctor when the patient turns around and Stephano says *Hello Marlena*.
