Jack goes to see Bill about getting the money for the Spectator not knowing that Jenn has already been there and asked. He figures it out though when he sees her pad by Bill's phone.
Kim goes to Lawrences and talks to Nikki for a while. She leaves, saying that she doesn't want to push it too hard with Nikki. Later she comes back and gives Lawrence some books on child psychology, and tells him that whatever she is trying to do to split up Carly and Bo - it won't work.
Carly goes over to Jenns and they eat Rocky Road Crunch Icecream and talk about their lives.
Austin finally manages to get the car going, with a bit of a MacGyver trick (using the telephone cord and some electrical tape) and they make it back to Salem just in time for the fight. However Gudd tells Austin to take a dive in the fight and after a bit of angsting Austin does.
Jack comes home and produces that pad that was at Tom's and Alice's, getting Jenn to admit that she talked to her father. He is terribly upset that she doesn't have faith in him any more and he leaves and tells Julie that he'll find the money somewhere else. Later on he goes home and tells Jenn that he's not angry with her - he's just hurt.
Austin lays on the mat but Carrie is screaming at him to get up and at the last moment he does. He knocks the opponent out and wins the $50,000 purse. Later Carrie apologises for her mistake and Austin forgives her. They go out to Wings where Austin gives the loan shark him money and Billie the $5,000 which she gives to John.
Earlier Marlena and Kim have dinner at Wings and Kim entreats Marlena to talk about her problems, especially her problems with Roman - Kim says she deserves to be happy. Marlena kinda of demurs saying the she and Roman are just fine and Kim eventually leaves. Roman and Bo arrest Tim for the gambling operation at the fight and take him to the station where they book him - later they go back to Wings where they tell Marlena what happened. At the boxing ring, the assistant DA Rebecca Morrison introduces herself to John (Ugh! Hate her already!) and tells him he still has a dinner outstanding from a bet they had two years ago so he takes her to Wings where they find out she is prosecuting Kim's case tomorrow. Later John dances with Rebecca and Marlena sees them. Her look catches John's eye and something sizzles....When she and Roman get home he suggests that they go upstairs and have some fun but she tells him that she has a big day tomorrow....she needs some sleep...
Carly and Vic go to John's where he tells them that he wants to give half of Alamain profits to charity. They say that Lawrence won't like that but Carly tells them that Lawrence may be changing. I didn't really watch any other of the Carly/Lawrence/Vivian stuff.
It's the day of Kim's hearing and Rebecca calls and expert witness who says he doesn't believe that Kim has MPD. Marlena testifies on the stand that she thinks Kim does but Rebecca digs into her about being Kim's sister in law. When they go to recess for the judge to make his decision Kim goes to the bathroom where she hears both Claire and Lacey's voices. When the judge comes back he tells them that the evidence is conflicting and he has decided to order that Kim go to trial. Her bail will be revoked and she will be remanded at Bayview for a complete assessment. Kim goes to pieces and Marlena is at her side immediately telling her to hold on....
Jack/Jenn stuff - Jack still can't get money for the Spectator - he and Jenn are still having problems - Furniture arrives that he ordered back when he thought the book was going to get published and Jenn pays for it which doesn't go down well.
Carrie and Austin organize to go to the cabin for the night and Carrie buys a sexy negligee. However Austin has a message from Tim on his answerphone and Tim says that if Austin doesn't bail him he'll name him to the police. Billie urges Austin to skip town but Austin decides to stay and face the music. Billie goes and takes $2500 of the money she is stashing and says that she hopes she can pay it back somehow.
Marlena asks to address the court and tells the judge that people suffering from MPD can't cope with confinement and asks that she treat Kim. The judge reconsiders and they all go down to the Pub for the break. Rebecca turns up there also which doesn't thrill everybody, but John gets her to stay. Rebecca comments on how great Marlena is in the courtroom and then mentions that she knows that John was married to her. And then Isabella. But there's one thing that she doesn't understand - it seems that he's the sort of man that when he falls in love with a woman he doesn't fall out of love. The judge reconvenes the trial early and tells them all that Marlena will be responsible for Kim's actions. Marlena agrees and he agrees to release Kim into her custody....
Jack gets a job offer in Saudi Arabia - they are paying expenses for him but not for wife or kids. He decides to go without Jenn but Jenn invites Julie around and asks her to help her to get a ticket to Saudi. Jack has a car accident with Billie and then wanders off to a barn where he gets drunk. He bemoans his life and then hits a pole with a pitchfork. Money starts floating down (it's the money that Billie has stashed.
Billie bails Tim out and Bo goes down to question her. He works out pretty quickly that she's covering for Austin. Earlier Billie tells Austin that they have to get out of Salem, she's afraid and he agrees to go. He tries to write a goodbye note to Carrie but she turns up and he takes her down to the Pub where they talk about his mother. Then they go up to the apartment where he give's her his mother's broach. She happens to see the screwed up paper and asks him if it's true - is he really leaving. He tells her he is and she runs out. He finds her outside and they kiss. But Gus's goons grab Carrie and hold her while they start to beat up Austin.
