John and Isabella get home and are sitting on the sofa when a brick comes flying through the window with a note saying he is a liar and he sold out. John gets Shawn and Caroline to look after Isabella and Brady and rings Vic, arranging to meet him.. Vic tells him that there is unrest on the docks and it has only happened in the last couple of days. John goes down to the cheating heart and finds out that Roger is behind the rumours. He confronts Roger but he denies it.
Vic heads back to the boat after his meeting with John and discovers Nikki on the couch. Vivian is forced to tell him that Nikki is her adopted son but tells him that he was the illegitimate child of a servant and that he has only just arrived in town She decides that now Victor has met him, she won't send him back to Switzerland......
Tanner realizes that Molly is not too keen on moving in with him and after much to-ing and fro-ing he tells her he's changed his mind. They agree to have a proper courtship with lots of fun.
Carrie runs into Austin at the pier. He offers to walk her home and she doesn't see the shady friend of Austin's that is hanging around. Marlena turns up at the apartment to find that Stella is visiting Jesse and she tells them the good news about Kim. Later on Marlena and Carrie go to Wings for dinner and run into Austin. He has dinner with them. Marlena tells Julie that Carrie has a huge crush on Austin. Austin and Carrie go back to her apartment and when Jesse gets home he tells Austin that there is someone knocking at his door. Austin goes out to find his friend who he tells to go....
Kim has another seizure while Shane is in the room and Marcus gets a specialist to have a look at her. But no-one can find a reason for them. Meanwhile, after some urging from Marlena, Shane goes down to the physical therapy room and manages two steps.....
Isabella turns on the TV at the Brady's to find that there is a picket down at Alamain towers. The men are saying that they aren't going to get their bonuses and that some of them are going to lose their jobs. And they're blaming John. He goes down there and tells them that they'll get their bonuses, even if he has to pay for it himself. Lawrence muses at home that this may be the undoing of John.
Jesse tells Carrie that he doesn't trust Austin and she questions Austin about the guy outside his apartment. He spins her a story about him being a brother of a friend and Carrie believes him. She goes back and tells Jesse that he is the most honest person she knows (and like she's a good judge of character!) Later on Austin gets together with some other guy and tells him to come himself next time he wants to see him. They talk about something (illegal) going on on campus.
Marlena is at the hospital when she gets a call from Stella saying that they'll have to miss their session this week. Marlena tells her that it's important but Stella says that she's had to rearrange her work roster so that she can drive Roger to work now that he's lost his license. Marlena says that Roger still has to come but Stella hangs up. Later on Marlena runs into Roger at the mall and asks him why he didn't come to the appointment. He asks her why she keeps on doing this, not just give them away. She tells him that she honestly doesn't know. Then she tells him that he has to stop drinking because it is ruining his life. He tells her that he can't because it's the only thing that gets him through the day. Later on again, Stella finds him at the Cheatin' Heart ordering a drink. He tells her what Marlena said and she gets upset, saying that if *she* hasn't been able to get him to stop drinking, there's no way that Marlena Evans will. He looks at the drink and leaves it sitting on the counter and walks out. Marlena goes over to see Isabella, and Roman and then John arrives. John and Roman talk about how Lawrence must have paid off Roger......
Victor takes Nikki up on deck for a spot of fishing while Vivian copes with sea-sickness down below. After Nikki has caught a fish they come back downstairs. He sends Nikki off and then tells Viv that he has a reputation for being ruthless and devious and it's totally deserved. He tells her that he wants her to have Nikki stay for a while longer so that Bo and Carly and John and Isabella can meet him - Vic thinks he's the model of what a young boy should be. Viv predictably isn't keep but Vic tells her that he'll pay her hotel bill and Nikki's tuition fees for the next term. Viv is surprised that he knows about her money problems and he tells her that he realizes that he was supposed to be the solution. She still has problems with Nikki staying but it's sort of a fait accompli with Vic telling her he is going to throw a party for Nikki.
Shane has his first physical therapy session at the hospital and does quite well. But he asks Carly not to tell Kim. Too late Shane - Marcus already has.... They won't let anyone in to see Kim- worried by her seizures they want to eliminate all stress, however she asks to see Bo. (Don't really understand why - all that happened was that he gave her engagement ring back - oh and she asked him not to tell Shane - again.) Anyway, she asks Marcus if she could see Shane and he reluctantly acquiesces to her wish. But after she leaves the room she has another 'headache'. Meanwhile Shane asks to see her at the desk and the nurse tells him that there is someone in line before him. He asks if it's family - the stranger says - not yet but soon. He introduces himself as Phillip Collier - Kimberley's fiancee.....
Phillip goes in to see Kim but she doesn't tell him about the headaches. Bo and Carly come into the hospital where Shane tells them he's met Phillip. They tells him that they already know. He goes off and tries to do some more physical therapy but he doesn't have the energy. Bo goes in to see Kim after Phillip has gone and tells her that Shane knows. She asks him to go find Shane which he does. Kim tells Shane all about Phillip and the man himself arrives back. They talk for a while and then Shane leaves. Turning around as he does so he sees Kim and Phillip kissing.
Viv, Nikki and Vic get back on dry land. Vivian finally agrees to the party and Vic goes off to arrange it immediately. Vivian talks to Ivan about her change of plans and laments her loss of control in Alamain industries. She decides that there may still be a way to have some sway and calls one of the board members (of Stanton Industries?).
Carrie keeps 'bumping' into Austin - when he tells her that he is meeting someone at Johnny Angels - she follows him there. He meets Tim again and we find out that he ran an illegal sports betting outfit in Boston. Tim runs a small time operation at Salem U campus but Austin is looking for bigger things. Tim says he's not interested and leaves. Carrie asks Austin to go to a summertime jazz concert in the park (even though she's bunked off work. They go and Austin goes back to meet Tim later. He tells him that he's planning on opening up his own operation and Tim can either work for him or go under......
