Molly got into the nursing honours program, Roman and Bo told Marlena that Kim was in town and Roger hit Kim and drove off, not knowing that Austin had seen his registration number.
Kim is in the hospital in a coma. Roger has been arrested for the hit and run. He is arraigned and bail is set at $150,000. After finding out that Lisanne hired Roger to do the stirring, Lawrence orders her to bail Roger out as he's afraid he might talk. When Roman finds out he's been bailed he *isn't* a happy man and in some way he blames Marlena.
Austin calls by and asks Carrie how her aunt is. Then he goes on to say how he is glad he was able to turn the creep in. Jesse tells him it was his dad and gets defensive and upset. Later Carrie fills Austin in on Jesse's family history and tells him that Jesse didn't mean to be rude. He tells her that Jesse is lucky to have her for a friend. Later again she tries to Get Jesse to understand that Austin didn't mean to say what he did. Jesse gets angry again and runs out. Carrie runs after him, asking him not to shut her out.
John and Isabella are in Venice still. They have a romantic dinner and then go back to the hotel where they stand out on the balcony with Brady. There is the first hint of Isabella's trouble when she talks about Ernesto and says that she's guesses that it's every child's fear - that one of their parents might die.....
John and Isabella go through their purchases and John tells her that he's worried that he hasn't been able to get hold of any of the Brady's. Eventually she suggests that he call the hospital and try to get hold of Carly or Marlena. He does and Carly tells him the bad news about Kim. Isabella tells him that she knows he wants to go home and he tells her that she must be the most understanding person in the world. (Not quite, John....)
Kim remains stable but still in a coma. Marcus urges Shane and the family to talk to her and bring in familiar objects. Shane does but there is still no change. But as he leaves her eyelids flutter...
Austin sees that Carrie is a bit down and asks her out to dinner at Wings. When he picks her up he tells her that he thinks of her as a little sister. She determines that she is going to change that. At Wings she sees Lawrence. Austin notices her looking at him and asks her if she knows him. She tells him that they used to have a 'thing' but she's over him now. Austin is surprised give the age difference.....
Roman discovers that Marlena has done a psychological evaluation of Roger Lombard on the request of the D.A.'s office. He accuses her of trying to get Roger off but she tells him that if he reads the report he'll se that she recommended that Roger is put away. They argue for a while and then decide not to any more. After Marlena leaves Roman takes another report to Shane and tells him that the report says that he must have used his legs to get that far when Kim was hit. Shane tries to say that it was all arm strength but when Roman leaves the room he gets his feet out of the wheelchair. Before he can try anything, Roman comes back in and they leave the building together.
Ginger has breakfast with Molly and Julie at the penthouse. After breakfast, Molly goes to the hospital for a session with Marlena - she is trying to cope with the residual feelings from the assault. She tells Marlena that she feels violated and that it frightens her when Tanner tells her that he loves her. Later at Alice's Tanner tells her he has a surprise for her and he takes her upstairs to Jack and Jenn's apartment. He is going to sublet it from Jack and wants Molly to move in when she is ready. Meanwhile, Ginger meets up with Brian and he tells her that he's been reinstated - but he is not sure that he wants to be a cop any more. After a little more time he tells her that he wants to open a dog obedience school....
When Victor invites Vivian away for a few days on his yacht, she organizes for Nikki to be flown back to Switzerland. Ivan is supposed to take him to the airport *after* Viv leaves for the yacht. On the yacht, Viv and Vic have a few nice minutes until he is interrupted by important business. He tells her to stay there and he disappears off. However, on the way to his business he decides to get someone else to take care of it and heads back to the yacht. Viv calls Ivan and gets him to pack a bag which is to be taken to the yacht. Nikki manages to lock Ivan in a room in the suite and when the bellhop comes to pick up the bags, Nikki goes with him .
Kim comes out of her coma and sees Bo and Carly first. She asks Bo not to call Phillip because he will just worry. She is finding it hard to talk and when Shane comes in she is too tired by the time she gets round to telling him about Phillip to actually do it. Once they are all gone, she suddenly has a seizure and Tom and Marcus agree that it could be a big problem.
Shane goes home and goes over the police report of the accident once again....He tries to get out of the wheelchair and actually manages to stand up....
