June 15-19, 1992 Updates
Monday 15th June 1992
(Wednesday 15th January 1997 in NZ)
Jenn doesn't believe Jack when he says he's dying. She asks him if
he's dying of boredom, dying to leave her...? He says no - he's
dying. He convinces her that he actually is dying and she is
devastated. She says they'll fight it together but he tells her it's
no use. But he tells her he's been happy with his lot and
wouldn’t change it for anything. And it's particularly great now
they are communicating. Suddenly the doorbell goes. It's Alice and
Tom with a birthday cake for Jack. He's thirty. They wish him a happy
birthday and many more happy ones. Jenn breaks down and sobs in
Alice's arms. She tells them that Jack's dying. Jack tells them about
how he found it out himself. Tom asks if he found this out in early
April. Jack says yes. Tom makes a call to the hospital and asks to
speak to Marcus. He gets off the phone and tells Jack he's not dying.
The dietitian has made a full confession - it was all a mix-up. Jack
can't believe it - he's not dying! He and Jennifer hug and suddenly
he feels the baby kicking. For the first time.
Marlena and Roman arrive at the little country inn. It has barely
changed. Roman has a heavy suitcase and won't tell Marlena what is in
it. She tries to call her message service but he makes her promise
not to go near the phone during their stay. Her attention turns to
the suitcase but Roman won't tell her what is in it. She decides to
tickle it out of him :0). Later she is wearing a black evening gown
(one of the things in the suitcase.) Roman comes out in a tux. He has
a dinner set up for them. He asks her to light the candles and he
pops the champagne. She asks him doesn't it bother him that all this
is false. He says no, because his feelings for her aren't. They kiss
and he unzips her dress.....
Carrie asks Molly to do Jesse's report on Silas Marner. Molly
refuses and leaves when she sees Tanner. Later she comes to Carries
and tells him that she won't do it for him. Carrie asks her if she'll
at least help. Jesse says he'll even read the book. Molly agrees to
*help*....
Tuesday 16th June 1992
(Thursday 16th January 1997 in NZ)
Carly and Bo get back to the boat. Bo tells her that it will be
alright. One day they will be able to ring all clear on their bell.
They sit down and ring on the Bell but Shawn-D hears them so they go
down into the cabin. Carly hugs him and Bo takes him topside to do
something. Downstairs Carly tells Caroline what happened. Later on,
after Shawn-D is asleep, Bo tells Carly it's alright for her to cry.
She says that she doesn't want to. He says sometimes you can only let
go if you do. So she does and he holds her and cries himself.
Molly refuses to do Jesse's paper by herself. She gets him to
help her and they write a good paper. Later Julie calls to tell Molly
that the professor is looking for her. He wants her to work tomorrow.
Molly says she can't and asks Julie to call him for her. Shortly
thereafter, Roman calls Carrie. He can hear voices in the background,
but she tells him it was just the TV. While she's on the phone, Jesse
is fooling around and accidentally breaks Marlena's candlestick
holder. He stuffs it under the cushion on the couch and then leaves
in a hurry. Carrie and Molly wonder what it was all about.
Roman and Marlena are in bed. He asks her if they could stay
there forever. She says he wouldn't want to do that or he wouldn't
get the surprise she brought him. He wants to know what it is. She
says she won't tell him, but she will show him. She slips out of bed
and into the bathroom. Roman gets up and is wandering around asking
her to hurry up when the bathroom door opens to reveal- a stunning
Marlena posed in a pink silk teddy and robe. There is a hot tub in
the bathroom all set up with bubble bath. She says that she wants to
show him something and she strips off the teddy. She sits on the side
of the tub and picks up some bubbles, spreading them over her front.
Then she slips into the bath and invites Roman to join her. She puts
in some rosemary bath oil and picks up two blocks of soap saying that
she is going to bathe him and he is going to bathe her. They don't do
much bathing before they end up kissing. Later, back in the bedroom
there is more kissing. She tells him that he is just about the
sexiest person she has ever known. They talk about the future and how
they will be together and they promise only to have conflicts over
very big, important issues. They talk about Carrie and Roman rings
her. Then they make love in front of the fire. Afterwards they lie in
each others arms. They reminisce about past times with flashbacks
including their engagement, marriage and the birth of the twins.
Wednesday 17th June 1992
(Friday 17th January 1997 in NZ)
Jack goes and explains to everyone why he has been acting so odd.
That includes Brian, Ginger, Julie and Jo. Jo slaps him for worrying
everybody so. Meanwhile, Jenn is getting a call from Calliope who has
just got her own talk show in New York. She wants Jenn to be her
sidekick for six weeks. Jenn tells Jack that she won't go unless he
wants her to. He tells her to go even though he doesn't want
to..
It's Maggie's birthday and Mickey takes her out to dinner. There
they run into Lisanne who tells Mickey that if her hires her she'll
bring with her long list of very rich clients....one in particular.
He asks her who. She says she'll only tell him if he hires her. He
makes her a full partner.
Vivian has a codicil to the will forged. Lisanne suspects that
it's not real but Vivian insists on carrying through with it....
Thursday 18th June 1992
(Monday 20th January 1997 in NZ)
Vivian calls John over and gives him the codicil. He reads it and
tells her well that's it. But he wants to take it home so Isabella
can see it. He actually takes it to Vic who gets a master forger to
look at it. Her tells them it's a fake. Back at the loft, John rings
Vivian and tells her that Isabella had seen the codicil and he'll
bring it back tomorrow. Oh and can she make sure that Lawrence and
Lisanne are there to finalize things.
Roman and Marlena get home from the Inn and discover the broken
candlestick. Roman confronts Carrie who lies and tells him she did
it. At the hospital, Marlena has a session with Roger and Jesse. She
notices a bruise on Jesse's arm and asks them to do a word
association test. Roger answers 'jail' to 'marriage' and Jesse 'hurt
to 'father'. At the station there has been a whole lot of cop
uniforms stolen but as Roman is still officially on holiday he is not
on the case. He goes back home and has another fight with Carrie.
Jesse calls her and she organizes to meet him. When she goes back
downstairs, she hears Roman and Marlena talking about Jesse being
physically abused. Marlena says she wants to build up more evidence
to get him out of the apartment. Carrie comes in and tells them that
she's still leaving home...
Friday 19th June 1992
(Tuesday 21st January 1997 in NZ)
John arrives at the Alamain's and proceeds to 'check out'
Vivian's art collection. He plays them for a while then tells them
that he knows that the codicil was false and that he wants all the
money that is rightfully his as well as all the things that were
brought with the proceeds. Vivian is devastated but vows not to give
in.
Isabella decides to give the PI business away because she is
going to be working with and helping John and she goes and tells Bo
this.
Carly and Bo decide to have a memorial ceremony to say goodbye to
her son. They invite Vivian but she tells Carly that she's not
feeling well. They sail out after sunset under a full moon and after
naming the baby Peter, they throw a rose into the sea.
Ivan organizes Vivian's summer itinerary but there is a snag -
they want an advance cheque for $12,000. Vivian tells him that she
will get it somehow - Nicky is the one person she has never lied to
and she will not let him down.
