Isabella comes around the corner and calls Danielle a liar. She gets really upset and John says he will take her home. Danielle tells him she has a marriage license to prove it but it's at the bank and she can't get it till morning. He says he'll see her then.
Jack is having his gastro-intestinal exam done at night so no-one will know. Marcus tells Jack that he's going to do an abdominal ultrasound and barium x-rays (Eeeeew!) When it's all over Jack asks Marcus for his tentative diagnosis. Marcus won't commit so Jack asks if it's possible that his Hodgkin's disease could be coming out of remission. Marcus tells him it's possible.
Vivian runs into Danielle and she tells her that she's John's wife. Vivian tells her that she can help her and that people usually find it's better to work with her than against her.
To get his mind off Danielle' Isabella suggests they paint the nursery. Blue and white. Yankees colours. But they get sidetracked and end up wrapped up in sheets on the floor.
Danielle goes to see Carly to say hello and good-bye. She's leaving town soon.
Roman bugs Torres room. Marlena is walking by when he calls to her (calling her blondie). He tells her that his mark still stands and if Roman shows his face in town he'll lose it. Marlena tells him that he doesn't scare her husband and he doesn't scare her.
John goes to Danielle's. She shows him the marriage license and he asks her if he's Romulus. She tells him that he wasn't but he tells her about the locket. She explains that he was a private investigator tracking Romulus. He trained like him and reenacted some of his crimes. Maybe he confiscated the locket from Romulus.
Roman goes to see Marlena in her office. He had called up social services and got a file. She tells him that Shawn and Caroline are at each others throats over his disappearance and there's no good reason for it. He plays her the tape of what she said to Raffi.
Danielle tells John that the last night she saw him, he was off to confront Romulus and she never saw him again. She didn't tell him before because of Isabella and the baby. However she doesn't know anything about his background because he never told her anything of it. He gets angry and goes to leave. She says she loves him more than - . He interrupts and tells her not to give him the line about loving him more than life itself. every time they fought she would say the same thing time and time again. He suddenly realizes what he just said. She asks him to trust her. He's almost in tears.
Doc tells Roman that they ve both changed. The relationship has to be re-examined. He says that's fine. Marlena asks him when, in his spare time? She tells him to go do what he's gotta do. When he's finished, give her a call and she'll tell him how she feels and what she's decided. He can go take care of Salem, she'll take care of the family. She leaves.
Danielle tells John that there's a safety deposit box in Switzerland with absolute proof of his past. He says he'll let her know and leaves. He goes home and tells Isabella what happened. She' s tells him he might have to go to Switzerland...
Rob goes to the Fancy-face He tells Carly that he's been trying to check up on her but it seems that everything in her personal file is a lie. She tells him that she used a different name when she went to the Sorbonne. He asks her to fill in several forms, one for each alias.
Jenn gets home from Bill's birthday in Chicago. Jack's behaving strangely. (So what's new?) She asks him what's wrong, but he brushes it off. It's the first episode of their show tonight.
Stella lets Marlena and Marcus in. She tells Marlena that she can't understand what she's going trough. Marlena tells her about DJ's death. She offers them coffee but Mr. Lombard comes home and tells them to get out.
Jack tells Jo that his Hodgkin's disease may have come back out of remission.
Marcus and Marlena leave but Marlena gives Stella her card and tells her to call. Marcus tells Marlena that he didn't know about DJ and he's sorry. Later she goes down to the pier where she is confronted by Dean Lombard's younger brother. He pulls a switchblade on her and tells her that it's payback time. He grabs her and puts the knife to her throat but Roman comes down the steps and smashes a bottle over his head. Marlena doesn't realize it's him initially, but when she does she tells him that she doesn't want to listen to this. He tells her she'll have to and takes her off.
He takes her to his hotel room. She tells him he can't have it both ways, he chose this. She wishes he could have seen his family in church, praying for his safe return. He tells her that he's a little sick of this guilt trip he's on. She has known since the beginning what his job was and he can't understand why she's lost faith in him. She tells him not to turn it round. He walked out on her. He says he guesses they ve got themselves a problem. She nods and walks out the door.
Jack is just about to go on air when Marcus arrives at the station with the test results ..
Jack has to go on air before he can get the test results from Marcus. Following the show, Marcus tells him that he is fine.
John tells Isabella that he's decided to go to Switzerland. But he wants her to come with him. They are at Wings. He tells her that he has a plan to find out exactly what Danielle knows. Carrie arrives and they invite her to sit with them. He tells Carrie about Danielle claiming she's his wife. Carrie is a little shocks and says she has to go. She leaves and John tells Isabella that they should find a third party to look into Danielle's background. He calls Vivian and tells her he wants to come over and talk about Danielle.
Carrie is at Lawrence's when John and Isabella arrive. Ivan takes her to the solarium to stay out of sight. Lawrence accuses John of being Romulus. They go to leave but Vivian offers some unsolicited advice. If his wife can't remember being at a party with her husband, she really can't be trusted. Isabella drops her glass and Ivan comes out to clear it away. Carrie follows him. John sees her and wants to know what she's doing there. She says that she doesn't have to explain herself to him. Lawrence tells her that perhaps she should listen to John and not go there anymore. She leaves. John goes to hit Lawrence but Vivian stops him. He warns Lawrence to stay away from Carrie or he'll kill him. They leave and Lawrence decides to pay Danielle a visit. He takes her out for dinner at Wings, but can't get any information out of her.
Jack and Jenn go to Wings to celebrate. They eat lobster and caviar and dance. (Jenn is looking quite pregnant for 2 months along ..) They get the bill and end up doing the dishes for the rest of the evening.
John follows Carrie. She tells him that Lawrence was the only person who paid any attention to her and John has scared off the only friend she had. John says that he's only doing it because he loves her. She says she got the same lines from Marlena. She wants to know if he's going to tell her. He says she has a right to know. Carrie yells at him some more, then storms off.
John arrives at Danielle's flat. He tells her that he'll go to Switzerland. Isabella comes in and breaks the news to Danielle that she'll be going too .
John and Isabella go to the lounge. Marlena is there and they tell her about the ultrasound and the trip to Switzerland. Marlena asks John is he believes Danielle. he says not at all. He tells Marlena that Danielle said she was married to him. Marlena says she wishes she could have told him. He says that's okay. Doc tells them to be prepared for the possibility that Danielle will fight. Isabella says that she d better be prepared for the fight of her life because she's not giving John up. Marlena says good girl . They ve been through a lot together and they deserve the chance to be a family.
Carly has another nightmare and wakes up screaming. Shawn-D runs in and she looks at him and whispers what are you doing here?
John and Isabella have to wait because the obstetrician is delivering another baby. John goes to get a progress report form the nurse. Danielle comes into the lounge. She has picked up the plane tickets and (surprise, surprise) John and she are flying first class and Isabella is flying coach.. Isabella tells her that she's a piece of work. She realizes that she's trying to get her blood pressure up so the doctor will say that she can't go. She tells Danielle that John will change his ticket with the person sitting next to her in coach. He hates flying first class.
Bo talks to Marlena about Roman. She tells him that Roman is very used to having things on his own terms. Now he's going to have to get a sense of what things are going to be like on her terms. Bo tells her about Carly's nightmares. She tells him that Carly is suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress syndrome. He's not entirely sure it's just his kidnapping that's causing it.
John and Isabella decide to get Carly to do the ultrasound. Carly isn't too thrilled about this but agrees to anyway. Everything appears alright but she tells Isabella that if it were her, she wouldn't go to Switzerland. She says it's a long flight, especially with Isabella's hypertension problems. He doesn't want to risk losing the baby - she doesn't know how horrible that would be. Isabella decides not to go.
Danielle is on the phone when Marlena walks around the corner. Now that Doc is no longer her doc, she can tell her some home truths. She tells Danielle that cares about John a lot. He's a very intelligent man. (Oh Yeah? What happened?) She warns her not to even try to hurt John or she'll have her to deal with.
Kayla gets home and Shane is pouring champagne. He shows her that he can slightly move his feet.
Isabella and John meet Danielle at the airport. They tell her that Isabella isn't going. On the plane Danielle puts her hand on John's and asks if he wouldn't mind holding her hand. She's still a nervous flier.
Carly has another memory about the convent and goes to the hospital chapel. Marcus finds her there and asks Carly to tell him what's wrong. Bo overhears....
