Marlena & Roman are still in the loungeroom. He wants to go out & get some coffee because he can't find any even though Mabel has just done the shopping. He tells Marlena to go upstairs & get into bed - he'll be back soon. Just after he leaves, she see's the shopping bags & finds the coffee in their. In a flash she realizes that he's leaving them & she screams his name. She races out the door, but he's gone.... (Oh what a heartbreaker of a scene....)
Abe meets Victor at the pier. Vic tells him that Raffi Torres is on his own now & that Roman should be warned.
Marlena turns to John. She rings him & asks him to find Roman & stop him. John realizes that Roman is probably heading for the airport.
Roman is at the airport. John finds him there. Roman tells him that if he was in His shoes he'd do the same - he has to leave. John accepts this but tells Roman to phone Doc & at least tell her goodbye, he at least ows her that. But Marlena is driving to the airport. When she gets there, Roman is already gone. She looks out the window and says 'you promised'.....
Doc asks for a list of flights & passengers, but they tell her that they can't give it to her. Abe turns up & tells her it's no use. She realizes that he knew. He says he's sorry but she turns away when he touches her. She tells him not to defend Roman to her, he gave up his family, but he still has his job. And she tells him not to touch her & to stay away from her and her family. (This lady is really angry...)
Abe rings John. He asks him to go over to Marlena's to keep an eye on her. IzzyB tells John that he should go be with her.
Shane tells Kayla that Roman has left. She tells him she wants to help find Bo. Later Shane asks Julie to throw a big party for all the 'high rollers' in business, on Friday.
When John arrives at Marlena's he tells her that she doesn't have to put up a strong front with him. She tells him that she doesn't feel like throwing things or yelling, she feels like being strong. She's very angry about Roman leaving. She says he walked out on them & there's no excuse for that. She won't forgive him for that.
Carrie arrives home after John is gone. Marlena tells her that Roman is gone. Carrie asks if he hated having her around that much. Doc says no, he loved her more than anything. Carrie yells that it didn't stop him from leaving & she runs out.
Later Marlena is in the loungeroom. She breaks down & goes to throw one of the goblets. She doesn't but instead sinks down by the fire & cries....
Desire arrives at the penthouse. Jack has a lie detector test set up. he runs it & then the talk, trying to figure out 'how to con a con'.
Later Desi meets up with Hawk at Alices. Between them, Desi & Alice talk Hawk into going to Jenns to be a shoulder to cry on. He agrees & goes to the penthouse. Jenn tells him that Jack will come back to her. Hawk tells her to dump Jack. She says no & leaves the room. He reads her diary which says that Jack packed a gun & threatened to kill Hawk. Whan Jenn comes back Hawk leaves & later we see him down by the pier with a gun....
Marlena runs into Carrie at the hospital. They have (yet) another argument this time over the fact that Marlena is working. Carrie feels that she should be home with the twins.
Jo & Alice are at Alices. Jo tells alice (in front of Hawk) that Jack is out of control and is talking about murder...
Marlena goes to Shane's. She wants Shane to give her some info on Roman & his whereabouts, but he can't tell her anything.
Back at Alice's, Jack & Jen have another argument. Jack threatens to kill Hawk. Hawk & Desi are listening just outside the door.... Desire tells Hawk to leave town. He refuses & shows her the gun. She tells him that if he wants to hide from Jack, he can go to her room at the Salem Inn (excuse me, she was staying at the Inn all this time, the woman is a con-artist, not a millionaire!)...
Dave (the waiter from Wings)comes out & drops garbage on Hawk. Desi gets the gun & fiddles with it. Hawk doesn't see this, but takes it back before she's finished.
Back at Shane's, Marlena is still grilling Shane. Kayla comes in holding Shane's tux for the party.
Doc's line of the day - "Oh this is great, this is just wonderful. Bo is
gone, missing. Roman is gone, we may never see him again, and you're on
the social circuit!?"
(This is a killer scene, lots of passionate anger from our Doc...) She
writes a note to Roman & asks Shane to give it to him. Shane says that
if he did, that would imply that he knew where Roman was & that would put
them & Roman in danger. Marlena counters this by telling him that
perhaps he can tell her children that their daddy is never coming
home....and walks out the door.
Jack, Jenn, Jo & Alice are at the penthouse. Jack leaves to 'execute' the last part of the plan. Desi arrives just after Jack leaves. She tells them she didn't have time to replace all the bullets with blanks, there's still 1 live bullet in Hawk's gun.
Marlena, Carrie and the twins are at the pier. (Picture this - Dee in a short Red PVC Mac - what a killer coat!) Doc tells the kids about Roman leaving. They ask her questions, & then Eric asks her if he's ever coming back. She tells them that the 4 of them are the family now.
Jack bursts into Hawks room. He's waving a gun around threatening Hawk. Hawk pulls his own gun & tells Jack to put his down. Jenn rushes up to the door & hears a shot. She rushes in, Jack is lying on the ground with blood on his chest, Hawk's gun is smoking....
Alice visits Carly on the Fancy-face. She tries to persuade Carly to go to the party that Julie is throwing. A box is delivered to Carly. It's her wedding bouquet, she and Bo were supposed to be married tonight.
Danielle's maid has phoned Isabella, pretending to be Julie's secretary. She tells her that the party has been moved to the Salem Country Inn. Isabella leaves a message for John, but Danielle switches the tapes in the answerphone. Danielle goes to the party & offers John a glass of champagne.
The police arrive at Desi's hotel room, Hawk gets away.
Carly tells Alice that she thought she'd cancelled everything, but she forgot the florist. Alice again tries to convince her to go to the party.
At the party Julie and Kayla, with Shane's help, are trying to get information out of some of the people at the party that have something to do with the Torres family.
Outside the museum a strange man is walking around with a canvas satchel.....
Ivan & Lawrence are down at the pier... Ivan asks Lawrence why he is going. Lawrence says he wants to meet Alphonse Lebec as he has close ties with the Torres family. Ivan asks if it has something to do with Katerina. Lawrence replies that it has everything to do with Katerina.
Carly goes to St Lukes. She *talks* to Bo about how they were supposed to be married tonight. She prays for god to guidence & when she toushes her star necklace, she knows what to do.
Back at the museum, Mickey & Maggie arrive. Julie & Maggie both look fabulous...Kayla is talking to Lebec. Shane tells him that he needs to put some money he's come into somewhere, preferably tax-free.
Danielle asks John if he's been able to get hold of Isabella. John says no, but he decides to try her car phone, but before he does he hears some music he seems to recognize. Danielle says it is one of her favourites & they dance.
IzzyB rings Dave to see where the party was moved to - he tells her that it wasn't moved.
Carly & Mrs H arrive at the party. The strange man slips into the museum & into the supply closet.
Hawk is in his flat quickly throwing things into a suitcase. He goes to the door, but Jennifer is there. She says she's come to hear his explanation. He says it was self-defeance & then tells Jenn that she knew Jack was coming looking for him with a gun. She asks him how he could have known that without reading her diary. He admits that he did. Jenn tells him that he wasn't a friend, that he was using her. He said that he wasn't, at least not after he had fallen in love with her..... Jack comes to the door. Hawk realizes that they've conned him, he says he can't believe they pulled it off. Desire pops around the corner & tells him that they had some help. Hawk tells tham that he's no longer in any trouble because Jack is alive. Jack says that stealing 5 million dollars is still a crime. Hawks says it's their word against his, but Jenn pulls out a tape of his confession to her. The police arrive & Hawk tells Jennifer that it was all for her. Jenn tells him that it was for himself because he had never asked her what she wanted. They take Hawk away & the Devereaux's hug. (Whew am I glad that storyline is *finally* over...)
Meanwhile....back at the party...:0) Carly tells Lebec that she knows his business associate, Raffi Torres. Shane interrupts, pulls her away & tells her that she could have ruined everything. Later Danielle bumps into Carly, but she doesn't recognize the english woman. Danielle recognizes her though. Isabella finally arrives, she & John realize someone didn't want her there, they think it might be Torres. She asks John to take her home & John says he'll get her coat. Then he see's the security lights and tells her to get her coat, he has to talk to Shane.
Jack Jenn & Desire are at Alice's They tell Jack about the one remaining bullet. He faints...
John shows Shane the alarm lights and says there's a door ajar somewhere. Torres' associates are all leaving, something is going on. Shane goes outside & finds the strange man, he recognizes him from the warehouse. He tells Shane about a bomb in the supply closet. Shane rushes into the museum to tell everyone to get out, but he's too late, the bomb explodes.....
