Jenn tells Jack that they conceived the baby on the 10th of January. On the set of "Ask Dr. Love" (they were locked in there during a storm.) Talk about a grand prize.... Jack is a bit stunned.
Marlena phones in to check for messages. Abe tells her that it's obvious that she's waiting for somebody in particular to phone. Carly interrupts them with the letter. She tells them that Bo is still alive.
We see Bo (or at least his feet) running through the snow. (Or what is supposed to be snow...the floor covering under it moves!)
Lawrence opens a Valentines card and flashes back to when Carly gave it to him. It had Yeats on it and she had made it for him. Lawrence promises Carly that he'll always be with her on Valentines Day. (Wow, don't those two look great together....) Lawrence leaves, telling Ivan that he has a promise to keep.
Jack is having a crisis. He says he's going out to get something to celebrate with. When he's in the corridor, Jo comes home. He tells her about the apartment, but not about the baby. Jo goes in and sees Jenn, who tells her about the pregnancy. Jo realizes why Jack was preoccupied. Jenn, after a while realizes that Jack is not as happy about the baby as she is. Jo says that he's probably a little shell-shocked. Jack, meanwhile, gets another visit from *grandpa* Devereaux's ghost, who gives him *advice* on raising children.
Abe, Carly and Marlena all decide to go to the station to wait while the police lab checks the letter's authenticity and date. At the station, Carly tells Marlena that she's amazing, being able to keep it all together... Doc says that she doesn't when she's alone. Abe comes in. He tells them that it *is* Bo's handwriting and the ink and fingerprints are fresh. As Marlena and Carly leave, he tells them not to give up, either of them.
They stop by Shawn & Caroline's to tell them about the letter. Shawn says that surely Bo would have put a clue in the letter. Carly thinks on it. She tells Shawn-D about the letter and how Bo wrote that he'd love to spend time with them in their *special place*. She realizes that this is the clue & rushes off.
Jack arrives (finally) back at the penthouse. Jenn asks him if he's happy about the baby. Jack says he's not sure, especially as they've just lost their money & home. He's also not sure what kind of father he'll be. Later, in bed, Jenn tells him that she thinks he'll make a terrific dad.
Back at the Brady's, Lawrence enters, obstensibly to buy some fish. He asks Shawn-D where Carly is, but before he can get any real information, Marlena interrupts and says she thinks she can hear this mother calling..... Shawn tells him that the Fish Market is closed. Carly is on her way up to the cabin in the woods. Bo just gets to the door of the cabin when someone catches him.....
Bo is back in captivity. Raffi Torres tells him that he had surveillance on Carly - that's how they caught him.
Carly gets back to the Fish Market. She tells them that she went to the cabin.
Lawrence meets with LeBec. LeBec knows where Bo is, and he tells Lawrence that the security is even tighter now that Bo tried to escape. He also informs Lawrence that an "accident" has been arranged for Carly & Shawn-D. He doesn't know what kind of accident, but it could be messy.
Julie gets a couple of dozen red roses. She tells Chip that they're from an "old friend." Later she tells Alice that they're from Doug., but that Doug & Julie are in the past. Alice tells Julie about Shane's paralysis.
Shane has an ISA specialist in to work on his paralysis.
Shawn tells Caroline, Carly & Shawn-d that there's going to be a big storm tonight. Carly & Shawn-D head back to the docks, but someone is following them.
Ginger & Brian are going to the commisioner's dinner. The commisioner is going to announce the new police commander now that Roman is gone. Brian thinks he'll get the position, but at the dinner, it is announced that Abe will be the new Commander.
Chip tells Julie that she can go home. He gets served, along with Dr H, and Marcus. The waiter's parents are sueing the hospital, the Trauma Centre & all the doctors that were there that night.
The storm is starting and Carly & Shawn D are on the boat. Someone cuts the Fancy-face loose.
Chip apologises to everyone but Tom says that there was no negligence. Tom tells them that the hospital insurers had gone bankrupt and the new underwriters wouldn't cover them after the explosion, so now they have no protection. He tells them all to contact their attorneys. Kayla says she might know someone that can represent the hospital and her. Later, Kayla talks to Rob (from LA) on the phone and asks him to represent them. He says that if she takes care of the airfare, he'll come to Salem and they'll talk about it.
Carly & Shawn-D realise that the boat is moving. She tries to call mayday on the radio. She goes up on deck and gets thrown around for a bit. She sees a searchlight & screams for help. But guess what. It’s Lawrence. He tells her that he’d come down to warn her when he’d discovered that the boat was gone. They can’t get the boat back to Salem, so they have to anchor somewhere sheltered.
Torres' man tells him that the mission was accompished. Torres then tells Bo about the "accident."
The Fancy-face isahchored, but Lawrence says the water is a little rough. He suggests that they should go and spend the night in the lighthouse.
Isabella tells John that she doesn't trust Danielle. There's something odd going on and she intends to find out what it is.
Frank is in Marlena's office. He tells her that he'll tell her what he did and then the nightmares will go away. He picks up a picture of her and Roman. She snatches it back and tells him that it doesn't always work that way. She says that she'll help him and not tell anyone about it, but only as long as he keeps all his appointments and is not late for any of them. If he doesn't stick to this - all bets are off. He agrees.
Carly, Shawn-D and Lawrence are in the lighthouse, and they all settle down for the night. Shawn-D asks Carly why Lawrence calls her Katerina. She says it's something he started a long time ago, and he can't seem to stop it. Lawrence offers to sleep somewhere else, but Carly says that everywhere else is too cold.
John and IzzyB are arguing about Danielle when he accidentally smashes the rose. As he picks it up he flashes back to the masquerade ball, the music and the rose, except this time he actually sees Danielle’s face. He tells Isabella that it's nothing, but he says that he remembered that he had another session scheduled with Marlena. He leaves, still holding the rose and stands in front of Danielle's door. he leaves and shortly after, Danielle arrives. She tells Gabby that soon she will have completely re-created the past in John's mind, at least the past as she wants him to remember it.
Jack and Jennifer are sorting out stuff to be sold at the penthouse. Alice, Tom, Maggie and Mickey arrive. Jenn tells them that she’s pregnant. It's a really sweet moment, they're all so happy.
John walks into Marlena's office. She jumps and drops the file that she was holding. They both bend down to get it. One of *those* looks passes between them. He tells her about the flashbacks, and he finishes up by telling her that he recognizes the woman - she’s his neighbour. He suddenly remembers dancing with her at the museum. He asks Doc if she could be from his past, or if he's just imagining things. She says that there's only one way to find out. Talk to Danielle.
Danielle and Gabby leave the flat. Isabella hears them and goes across to pick the lock.
Shawn-D can't sleep. Carly begins to tell him the princess and the pea, but can't finish because she's crying. Lawrence tells him that she'll be alright. He tells Shawn-D the story of Beauty and the Beast. When h'es finished, he turns to Carly, but she looks away.
John lets Marlena know that he's there if she wants to talk. She says she can't because it's a patient. She tells him that she feels vulnerable and alone. He tells her that he knows Roman loves her, and she hugs him. (*sigh*) He leaves to go see Danielle, but he tells her that Roman will be back.
Isabella is picking the lock when she feels faint. Then she hears Danielle and Gabby returning. She shoots across to John's flat. They see her. She tells them that she thought she'd heard John. Later when John does come back, he goes to Danielle's door, but doesn't knock. On entering his own flat, he discovers that Isabella is not well. He takes her blood pressure and it is high. He asks her what is wrong, and she cries and tells him to promise not to leave her.
Jenn tells Alice that Jack is afraid of this baby. Alice tells her that all expectant fathers are afraid of babies. She tells Jenn that he'll come round.
Back in the lighthouse Carly walks into something. Lawrence tries to help, but she won't let him. he tells her that she shouldn't be afraid, he'll never hurt her. Then there's a montage of scenes. Carly watching Lawrence. Lawrence watching Carly. Eventually Lawrence softly says to her "Katerina I'm sorry. I know you're hurting." She looks at him for the longest time with tears in her eyes, holding Bo's necklace. Then she walks out of the room.
John is looking after Isabella. She asks him to move in with her.
Marlena is in her office. A cop comes in with a box. He says that Commander Carver asked him to take it to her. She picks up on the Commander bit. It's Romans stuff - from his desk. The cop leaves. She opens the box and pulls out a shirt. She quickly puts it back in and shuts the box, almost crying. Frank comes in and slams the door, startling her. He tells her that he saw the cop leave and he gets angry.
Back at the boat Carly is getting changed when Lawrence comes back into the cabin. He apologizes for the intrusion, but Carly believes he did it on purpose.. They have an argument, and to prove his sincerity to her, he tells her where Bo is. She doesn't seem to believe him at first, but he tells her that he cares about her and is sincere about everything he's said. (After seeing these scenes I am *totally* smitten with Lawrence. If he looked at me that way I think I'd melt into a little puddle. How on earth could she prefer Bo?......Of course we know she really doesn't :0)........)
Doc tells Frank that the cop brought her husband's things over and that she hasn't told anybody at all. She sits him down and gives him a newspaper clipping about the murder. He makes the comment that she may be recording the session. She says that he doesn't know that she isn't, but invites him to search the office, search her...(!) He doesn't take her up on the offer, but instead tells her that it is the girl that he killed. She does the shrink number on him and he thinks that she is suggesting that he give himself up to the police. He gets all uptight and warns her not to make him angry. She tells him not to threaten her, she's the only friend he has. But he leaves and tells her that he hopes she never finds out what he's like when he's disappointed.
John and Isabella are at the loft. He gives her some fresh squeezed moo-juice. They *discuss* him not moving in with her. Marcus arrives and when IzzyB is out of the room he tells Marcus that he has a secret that he doesn't want to tell Isabella, because it might stress her out more. Marcus says that secrets have a habit of getting out.
Carly, Shawn-D and Lawrence moor the Fancy-face. Carly shows Lawrence the cut wire. He tells her that she can't go and rescue Bo without putting both her and Bo in considerable danger. He's willing to help her but she wants to do it her own way.
Marlena is in her office dictating her report on Franks visit. Se says that she considers his threats just that - thinly-veiled threats. She takes the box and her coat and leaves the office, locking the door behind her. As she leaves, someone follows her. She stops in at Alice's and sees Mickey. He asks her if something is wrong. She says that she doesn't think so.
John tells Isabella about Danielle being in his dreams. She tells him that she thinks that Danielle *is* the woman from his past. She tells him about Danielle suggesting that he buy the rose. He decides to go and talk to her. After he leaves, Carly arrives at the loft. She tells Isabella about Bo, but also that she got the info from Lawrence.
John knocks on Danielle's door, but there's no answer. He leaves a note on her door.
At Alice's Marlena tells Mickey about the threats from a patient. He tells her that legally, she's obligated to remain quiet *unless* she feels that there’s a threat to someone, including herself. If she couldn't prove the threat however, she'd possibly be up for malpractice and lose her license. He urges her to talk to Abe. She tells him she'll think about it. She leaves Alice's, but the person is still following her.
Lawrence meets Carrie at Alice's. She asks him his name again. Just behind them John sees them. Lawrence leaves and John asks Carrie why she's keeping company with Lawrence Alamain. He tells her to stay away from him and they have an argument over it. Isabella comes in and Carrie leaves.
Marlena bumps into Carly. She tells her that she's setting aside some time to get rid of some of Roman's stuff. Carly tells her that Roman will come back. Doc tells her that it is different for her, Bo didn't leave her. Roman left them and now she's got to get on with her life. As she leaves, she is still being followed.
Doc is at home. It's windy outside and she's hearing noises. She stands by the fire and hears banging at the window. It's only a tree. She goes back to reading a newspaper article about the murder., but puts it away and starts going through the box of Roman's stuff.
John is giving Isabella a massage and the baby is kicking. Carly phones and asks if she's heard anything from her informant about the house that Bo is supposed to be in.
A man calls Lawrence and tells him that Carly is going to check out the house.
Jenn is convinced that she's showing already. Jack tells her that it's a little soon. He's still depressed about the money - they're selling most of their possessions from the penthouse.. Their big mirror falls over and Jack says they'll have seven years bad luck.
Marlena finds a card with hers and Romans wedding vows inside. She asks why he had to leave. There's a knock at the door. It's Abe. The joke about Roman's habit of breaking the clips on pens until Marlena realizes that they're talking about him in the past tense. She tells Abe that she feels like he's dead.
Raffi tells Lebec that he wants the Kiriakis empire and Bo is the key.
Danielle gets the note and rings John at Isabella's. They arrange to meet at nine.
Carly arrives at Isabella's after John leaves. She tells Isabella that she can't wait and that she's going to check out the mountain herself. IzzyB decides to go with her. Carly tells her that she's more impossible than her brother. They drive up the mountain and stop by the house.
Abe leaves and tells M to call if she needs anything. Soon after he leaves, there's another knock at the door. It's Frank. She tells him that she doesn't see patients at her house. He tells her that he's not there for an appointment, he's there for her. He makes a move toward her but at that moment John comes up behind him and puts him in a headlock. Frank asks who he is. John says he's her guardian angel. Frank says that he didn't come to hurt her, he came to tell her that he was going to give himself up to the police and he wants her to go with him. She invites him and John in and he tells them that it was her that changed his mind. She phones the cops. John gets a little upset at her for not turning the guy in but she tells him that she promises patients strict confidence and she doesn't break her promises. No matter who they are or what they say.
Jack and Jenn (who earlier left Tom and Alice in charge of the sale) arrive back Everything has been sold. Jenn spreads a rug on the floor and puts candles on it. Jack kisses her and carries her to the bedroom. But the bed is gone. Jenn has had it moved to the new apartment. Then the power goes out.
Carly and Isabella decide to take a closer look at the house. They go up to the house & look through the windows. Isabella loads her gun and takes the safety of. They enter the house, but Bo isn't there. Lawrence however, arrives. Carly tells him that she hates him. She and Isabella leave. Lawrence looks around and finds Bo's ring. (The one Carly gave him in Mexico).
Frank goes with the cops. Marlena says she'll be along soon. She tells John that she was scared and that he was pretty brave, he was her hero. He tells her about the meeting with Danielle. She asks him to let her know what happens. He goes to meet Danielle. He tells her that she's in his dreams and he wants to know why.
Carly and Isabella are driving back from the mountain when Isabella has a pain. She tells Carly that she thinks it is a contraction.
Marlena is packing away some of Roman's things. She hugs his leather jacket. Crying, she puts it in the box and puts the lid on. She says - "Good-bye my love."
Down at the docks a homeless man comes up to Abe. Abe doesn't recognize him until he practically tells him. It's Roman.
