Lawrence demands that Ivan tell him where Vivian has taken Nikki. Ivan proclaims to have no knowledge. It only takes Lawrence a few moments to realize that Victor must have been involved and he rushes down to the church. As per usual Salem timing, he gets there just as Bo and Carly are about to take their vows. He accosts Victor and demands to know where Viv has taken Nikki. When Carly interrupts to find out what's happened to Nikki, Lawrence tells her that Vivian has taken their son. She has to admit to Bo that it's the truth and when Vic tells them Viv has gone to the airport to fly to the Caribbean, Carly and Lawrence go after her. Bo stands around doing his shocked and hurt act and then takes off on his bike to sulk.
Meanwhile Abe and Roman take Victor to the station where he tells them he was duped as well. If he'd known that Nikki was Carly's son he never would have helped Vivian. They bring in Ivan for questioning, but the only thing he gives away is a note to Vic from Viv. Once Ivan is gone Victor tells Roman and Abe that it seems like Viv had her own itinerary - she's not going to the Caribbean. And of course all the while Vivian is driving away from Salem with Nikki complaining in her ear about how he wants to go back.....

Carly and Lawrence get to the airport but the guards tell them that Viv and Nikki haven't been through there. When they hear that Viv has double crossed Victor, they go back to the police station. Not much else occurs, they can't find Viv and Nikki and Carly ends up going back to the hotel and crying. Meanwhile Bo goes and tries to get drunk at Casey's after throwing away his jade ring. But John finds him and plays big brother. Eventually Bo leaves and goes back to find the ring. Viv and Nikki are actually at a dock and they are about to leave town on a boat......

The search for Nikki is called off, so Lawrence mounts his own. Carly goes over there so that when Bo tries to call her he finds out that that is where she is. More temper tantrums.
Kim finds out that Dr Allison has to go back to LA and she stresses about the fact that she may have to go to trial. She determines to ask Marlena to be her therapist.....

Bo wants to go back to work but Roman determines that he's in no state to, especially when he attacks another police officer who makes a joke about getting the wedding gifts back. Bo throws another temper tantrum and turns in his badge. Later he tells Shawn-D that he Œdoesn't want to be a cop anymore‰. Meanwhile Jenn suggests that Carly and Lawrence do a live broadcast plea for information about Vivian and Nikki. Lawrence spends thousands of dollars buying live prime time space and Vivian (in a lighthouse belonging to one of her former flames) sees it. She vows that they'll never get Nikki back and tells him that it was Carly's fault that they had to leave Salem because she was deviously advising Lawrence to take Nikki from Vivian.
Kim goes and sees Marlena and asks her to help her by being her therapist. She pressures her a little and then backs off, saying that she didn't want to pressure her, she knows she's been through a lot. Marlena says that Kim helps her too and then says that they can make a pact to help each other. Phillip arrives to pick Kim up and having talked to Jenn earlier about the ratings asks Marlena if she would consider doing an interview on Jenn's show. Marlena tells him that she'll talk to Roman about it and consider it. Later when Roman comes home she shows him the medal that John gave her and says it's ironic how it's come full circle. Roman says he doesn't know how to thank John for saving her life and Marlena tells him that John doesn't want them to owe him. Roman suggests that they give the medal back to John and Marlena says that she'll take it over there. Then they talk about their relationship and how things are changing for the better. Roman says he loves her and she asks him to set about proving it, to set about making love to her. He asks her if she's sure about this, she tells him „Yo babe, I'm sure‰ ;0). Later, in bed, Marlena dreams of when John gave her the medal in the pit and how he had told her that Isabella had loved her. She smiles and Roman leans over and kisses her......

Carrie (Christie Clarke's Carrie!) is at her apartment with Austin and Billie. Austin's fight is put back to the New Year and They wonder where they are going to get the next five grand installment for the loan shark. Billie sees a diamond earring and Carrie tells her that John gave them to her for her high school graduation but she lost one. Austin tells her not to sell the remaining one - it has sentimental value. However later she comes home with a gift as does he. She gives him a phonogram to play his old records and he gives her a diamond earring to match hers. The only problem is she sold her other earring to buy him the record player and he sold his records to buy her the earring.
The guy who's place Vivian is at brings her the paper in the morning and asks her to explain what's going on. She tells him but he tells her to think carefully about what she's about to do. Later she is upstairs when Nikki finds her cellphone and calls Lawrence. Carly tries to talk to Bo and he lets her explain but she can't give him a good enough reason for not telling him about Nikki. He organizes to take the boat and Shawn-D and run away from Salem (he says it's called sailing) and Shawn calls Carly but Bo is gone by the time she gets to the dock.
Marlena comes down in the morning and Roman is dressing the tree that he went out and got at 6 am. He tells her she was having quite the dream last night. He asks her if he was in it and she tells him that he's always in her dreams. He tells her he has a pre-Christmas present for her - it's two tickets to Colorado. She hugs him and asks how he swung it. He tells her it was the elves. ;0) She organizes to have Phillip and John come over for the pre-interview and John arrives early. He gives her a gift - it's an angel to go on top of the tree and he tells her that he thought she needed a guardian angel right at the moment. She gives him back the medal and he agrees to take it. Later when Phillip is there, he questions them about the ordeal and they agree that it was „intense‰. Roman comes in but then leaves again to give them some privacy. Later he comes back just as the interview is finishing, as Marlena is saying that she wasn't afraid of dying because she was with John. Phillip leaves and then John goes. Marlena tells Roman that if one good thing came out of the whole nightmare, it was that she and John are really good friends again. They kiss and then she asks if they should go upstairs and pack. He tells her to wait just a moment. He kisses her again and then suggests that they go upstairs and Œpack'/.....
