Shane went to talk to Roman about Tarrington's job offer. Roman told him to take it and then they talked about the murder investigation. Shane went with him to Casey's Roadhouse to see if anybody recognized the picture, barely missing Shane and Kim. (Now if Shane is supposed to be such a hot-shot observer - *why* the hell doesn't he recognize Kim's necklace and *why* on earth doesn't he remember that he saw Kim's car outside Casey's only three weeks ago?) Anyway Casey almost recognized Kim but didn't say terribly much. She and Phillip left when the music got too loud, or at least that was her excuse. Later on Shane told her that there is a pearl necklace that is one of the exhibits in the investigation.
Carrie had her party for Billie. Billie didn't invite Austin but he came with Bridget. Carrie was slow-dancing with Tim when he arrived. Earlier on Austin had told Tim that he's thinking about quitting the bookie business while they are ahead. Austin asked Carrie to dance which she obviously enjoyed, but at the end of the song someone saw a cop car pull up. They got rid of the alcohol but Bo could tell that they'd been drinking. He let Carrie off with a warning but told her to choose her friends more carefully.
Isabella was very dehydrated. She asked Carly how much time she has left. Carly, forced to be honest, replied that she doesn't have much. Carly told her that if she doesn't follow her orders she will have no choice but to hospitalize her. Isabella asked Carly to look after Brady if anything ever happened to John. Carly of course agreed. Later John brought Brady in and Isabella told him she had had a dream about her mother. She wants to go home to Italy when the time comes.....
Billie manipulates Carrie into going to her court hearing with her. She gets sentenced to community service. Then she manipulates Carrie into lending her her car. (Since when has Carrie has a car?) At Johnny Angels she figures out that Carrie is still a virgin and is astonished as well as amused. She is just about to jump in the car when Austin spots her - warning her to stay away from Carrie.
Shane goes to Roman's office and tells him he's decided to take the ISA job. Later on Kim goes to see Roman and he spills Shane's news to her. She digs for all sorts of information about the murder suspect and is relieved to see the picture indicating she is a redhead. However Roman won't show her the necklace. She goes home and helps Shane pack and they say their good-byes....she goes up to the attic to find some suitcases for him and discovers the pillowcase with the wig, dress and knife in it...
Roger has a dream about making love to Marlena. Unfortunately as he is snuggling up to Stella in his sleep he mumbles the good doctor's name. Stella races out of the bedroom and when he follows her, she accuses him of having an affair. He tries to convince her otherwise but it doesn't work and she goes down to the hospital. Marlena is in the lounge when she hears Stella shouting at a nurse. She asks Stella to come into the lounge but Stella calls her a slut. She *tells* Stella to come into the lounge and tries to convince her that she's not having an affair with Roger. Stella is totally irrational however and won't believe any of it. She leaves telling Marlena to stay away from Roger or she'll kill her. Marlena calls Roger and tells him what happened, adding that Stella needs help. Roger tells Stella that he kissed Marlena and it totally humiliated him. Stella works out that he's in love with Marlena and by this stage Roger is so sick of the whole thing he tells her that he's going to move out. He leaves and Stella throws a vase at the wall yelling crazily "you witch!".....
Ho-hum....
Isabella decides she wants to throw a party for all her friends before she leaves Salem for good. John tells her he'll take care of it for her and goes down to meet Vic at Wings. He asks Vic if they can borrow his jet to fly to Italy. Vic agrees and also offers to take care of the arrangements for the party. John goes to see Carly to ask her for equipment etc. To take with them but asks her to keep the trip quiet. Then he goes home with a gift for Isabella. It's a white shawl-collared dress and she 'models' it for him. They dance, catching it on video-tape.....
Not much else of consequence - Kim tucked away the items she found in the attic and went to bid Shane good-bye. That was kinda sad. And there was the usual Lawrence/Carly/Bo stuff....
Like I said....Ho-hum....
Isabella ties up the loose ends of her life
Stella is obsessed with jealousy of Marlena
Roman tells Stella that Marlena told him about Roger's kiss. Stella tells him that she thinks that Marlena encouraged him. Roman tries to tell her otherwise and she pretends to agree. Roman goes down to Isabella's party at Wings. Everyone else is there, including Isabella and John. But he gets a phone-call a little after he gets there - there's a lead on the Houston case - he leaves and goes to the motel room they have found - the one that Lacey was using. They find out her name and find an audio tape. Meanwhile Phillip has decided to make a film of the case.
At the party at Wings Isabella sees everyone and then tells John it's time. John gives a video tape to Victor and asks him to introduce it. While it is playing, John and Isabella slip away. Isabella starts with her group of friends asking them all special things. She asks Marlena to take care of John when she is gone because he will need her support and love. She says that people will talk but they will know why. Then she moves onto the families, asking Lawrence to treat John as a brother, asking Bo to forgive Victor and asking Victor to keep his promise to her. Finally she tells them about the star and then tells them that this is the last time she will see them as she, John and Brady are on a plane to Italy right now.....
