December 1991
John and Isabella talk about going to Bo and Carly's
ancient "wedding" ceremony, when he decides he's not
going. Roman prevents Bo from seeing Carly before the ceremony.
Carly and Marlena learn the customs and the wedding attire, as
they discuss her and Bo. John anxiously awaits news about the
bag's content from the ISA, as Isabella tries to pursuade him to
go to the wedding with her. Shane comes back from Washington,
working on John's case, and Kayla tells him she and Kim are
working on a case with an abused child that was brought in the
riverfront clinic, as she and Kim are trying to work on their
relationship at the same time. Later at the Brady's, Shane fills
them in about John and the bag, and Bo and Carly's symbolic
wedding in Mexico. Bo goes to see John and tells him he is family
and that Bo wants him at his wedding, which gets him to change
his mind. Kim and Shane have a heart to heart talk about them and
Kayla, as Kayla listens in. Music montage of Bo and Carly with
flashbacks of them. Everyone watches as Bo and Carly head up the
pyramid for the wedding.
Shane tells Kayla about his call from the ISA and he needs to
leave on a case. Roman and Marlena come home, along with John and
Isabella from Mexico, as John doesn't feel comfortable being back
in Salem, knowing he's not Roman. Isabella invites John to stay
with her after he tells Roman and Marlena he needs to make a
clean break. Marcus bickers with Glenda about trying to railroad
Carly with Victor's "death". Roman, Marlena and John go
to the house, and Sami and Eric come down, as they have a hard
time trying to find the words to explain John isn't really their
father, that Mr. Patrick is the real Roman. Shane goes to see Kim
about leaving on his new case, and they share a family moment
with Andrew and Jeannie. Before Shane leaves, he and Kim swear
they will always be the best of friends, as he tenderly touches
her cheek. Isabella gets a picture from Marcus of the ultrasound
that shows the baby, and she plans to try and use it to help John
feel better about himself. John shares a tender good-bye with
Sami and Eric. Isabella shows John the picture of their baby, as
it haunts him not knowing his true identity. Kim and Kayla
discuss the fact Shane may not be home for Christmas. Roman goes
through some old things Marlena dragged down from the attic, and
he mentions to her his memories of that sleeping bag that he used
to camp out on her cold hard floor, all those years ago. Isabella
walks in on John yelling at the ISA about the bag. Marlena tries
to prepare Roman it will take time for the kids to get adjusted
to him, as they come down and look for John. Kayla talks to John
and assures him he will always be a part of their family, but
when a cake is delivered that says welcome home Roman, he feels
hurt and leaves before she can explain. Glenda talks to Isabella
about the State wanting her to testify against Victor. Hawk goes
to see Jen, and tries to get her to take her mind off things by
going horseback riding with him. Jack goes to see Jo, as she
tries to encourage him not to give up on him and Jen, as he
believes she has moved on with another man (Hawk). Kim, Kayla and
Shawn welcome Roman home officially. Isabella goes to visit
Victor and tries to learn what was in the bag Stefano had on
John's true identity, but Victor lies and says he has no idea.
John meets with Lawrence and wants answers about the codicils.
Jack goes to his and Jen's place, and decides to wait for her to
come home. Kim and Kayla go to visit their other "brother"
John with a welcome home cake, as Isabella comes in with
Christmas ornaments and watches them act like a real family again.
Molly listens to the music from the Nutcracker, and dances around
the penthouse as Julie comes in and they discuss Tanner and her
going to the ballet. Tanner nervously dresses, fiddling with his
tie, as Brian arrives and helps him with it. Jack hears Jen come
back home - with Hawk, and hides on the balcony. Jen is
interrupted by a neighbor who gets locked out and needs help.
Hawk goes in and realizes someone has been there, but Jen comes
and gets him to help her neighbor, leaving the coast clear for
Jack to make his exit. Julie gives Molly a formal evening dress
to wear to the ballet, as Molly talks about selling Christmas on
Tanner. Tanner insists to Brian he's only going to the ballet for
Molly, as Brian tries to pursade him to go to Christmas dinner
with him and Vern, but Tanner refuses flat out. Julie goes to see
Chip with tickets to the ballet, after he suddenly gets the night
off, and had already given his tickets to Molly. Mickey and
Maggie also plan to go to the ballet. Ginger sells Alice on the
idea of Desire doing readings at the restaurant. Tanner arrives
to escort Molly to the ballet, and is speechless as he hands her
a flower, her favorite, daisies. Molly comments on how handsome
he looks as they head out to the ballet. Jack goes to say good-bye
to Jo, saying it's over with him and Jen. Tanner and Molly return
to the penthouse and he agrees to stay for coffee, as they
discuss the ballet. Jack thinks of his and Jen's wedding (flashbacks),
as he's determined to not give up.
Hawk and Desire talk about his ad, supposedly placed by Jen, to
lure Jack out of hiding. Maggie and Jen go Christmas shopping,
and discuss Jack. Molly discusses her plans to repair a vintage
dress she found with Julie, as they tall about her date with
Tanner, and how she felt he was close to kissing her, but now it
seems he's avoiding her. Brian finds Tanner staring into a store
window display of a Christmas snow globe, teary eyed, as he tries
to fight his feelings about Christmas. Brian asks Tanner about
his date with Molly, and Tanner goes on the defense and says it
was fine. Desire becomes a bell ringer for the salvation army,
per Hawk's orders. Jack hides in the ladies room of Wings when he
hears Julie and Molly return. Tanner arrives and Julie tells him
the door is stuck, but when he tries it, it's fine, since Jack
has left. Tanner and Molly talk, and he assures her he's not
trying to avoid her. Ginger contemplates telling Molly she is her
mother. Jack hides out on the dock, when Brian continues to chase
him, thinking he is the Christmas Bandit. Isabella finds John
thinking of his Brady past, as she tells him Bo and Carly are
coming home from Mexico, and everyone is headed to the Brady's to
see them, but he refuses to go with her. Caroline and Shawn
assure Isabella her and John's baby will be a part of their
family. Isabella talks to Marlena about John and suggests he
spend some time with Eric and Sami. Desire tells Hawk about Jack
running by her with a "gun" as the cops chased him.
Glenda talks to Carly and Bo about the charges against Victor -
for faking his own death to frame Carly. Sami and Eric are angry
with John for not being their father, as he tries to explain he
loves them, as it breaks his heart to see them shut him out.
Isabella tries to get through to them before she takes them back
home. Jack plans his escape from the docks, by hiding in a crate
- that is to be delivered to Jen, unbeknownst to Jack. John hears
from the ISA that they are sending the bag back to him.
December 24, 1991
Bo and Carly discuss Christmas at the Brady house, when
Isabella comes by and discusses John and how he's drifting away.
John sees a little boy on the dock, and helps him with his ice
skates, thinking of his "son" (Eric). Jen and Alice
hear an announcement about the Christmas Bandit still being on
the lose, as Jack vows he and Jen will see each other. Kim helps
Caroline prepare Christmas Eve dinner, as Kayla arrives and they
share in the task of placing the angel on top of the tree, like
they did when they were kids. Jack manages to get a Santa outfit
to try and get in touch with Jen. John finds Isabella in church,
and tells her he was drawn there. Roman gives Marlena her
Christmas present - an updated version of her engagement ring.
Andrew, Shawn, Max, Eric and Sami put on a Christmas play of the
birth of Christ. John joins Isabella at the Brady's, but feels
like an outsider and leaves.
December 31, 1991
Jen argues with Jack at Alice's restaurant about not
wanting to see him. John looks at the remains of a burnt picture
of a woman with a birthmark, similar to Carly's, when Isabella
surprises him and tells him they should talk about the woman in
the picture, since she may be his wife. Roman tells Marlena
unless he gets a break in the case with Victor, he's going to
have to miss the New Years Eve party at Wings. Roman then gets a
break when he hears Victor's plans for a "business"
meeting at a health club. Jack goes to Wings and sees Hawk with
Jen, and slugs him. After her talk with Julie, Molly asks Tanner
about people being honest with their feelings, as Tanner goes to
tell Molly his feelings, the new year rings in, and they kiss.
Later Tanner and Molly try to teach each other how to dance,
after watching everyone else dancing and not knowing how
themselves.
