January 1991 Updates
January 2, 1991
Brian tells Melissa he has a new lead on Nick's
murderer, and it's not Emilio. Jack questions Jen about what is
bothering her. Roman finds Bo and Carly - with a dead Emilio.
Roman concludes Emilio either fell or was pushed out of the
window above. Jack thinks Jen is trying to avoid him, as she
covers. Roman announces to the party guests Emilio is dead, and
it may be another murder, as he questions them all. Brian has the
task of telling Melissa Emilio is dead. Jen and Jack go back to
the loft, and he want to resolve the problem between them, as he
gets angry when she won't be honest with him. Shane discovers
someone broke into the house, but nothing is missing.
January 7, 1991
April tries to cope without Emilio, with Johnny's help.
Jack is shocked by Jen calling him a rapist, as she regrets
saying it. Bo and Carly kiss, but he pulls back. Jen tries to
explain to Jack she didn't mean to say that, as he mentions it's
because of what he did to Kayla. Marcus asks Shane for Kayla's
phone number in Los Angeles, but he doesn't give it to him. Shane
learns he has a new female partner. Jack and Jen end up arguing
as she tries to talk her way out of her blunder, as Jack thinks
Jen will only see him as a rapist, since she won't tell him
Lawrence raped her. Bo comes to Carly's rescue when she is
attacked, but not before she is knifed. Shane is shocked to see
Peachy. Jen tries again to apologize to Jack, but they reach an
impasse.
January 8, 1991
Kayla comes back to hear Shane talking with Peachy about
him and Kimberly, and making the right decision and not fighting
the divorce. Kayla tells Shane he and Kim are both denying their
feelings. Adrienne and Justin spend the morning in bed. Frankie
talks to Carly about Bo. Shane sees through Eve when it comes to
Frankie. Shane learns Kim may come back home, but insists to
Kayla they are done.
January 14, 1991
Shane and Marcus vie for Kayla's affections. Tom tells
Carly she can be released, and offers for her to stay at his
place, as Bo is extended an offer to stay at their house from
Alice, since the boiler on the houseboat has broken. Roman and
Caroline discuss his problems with Carrie as teenage growing
pains. Carrie goes to talk to Isabella about her and Roman.
Peachy works on Shane again. Carrie tells Roman she wants to live
with Anna, but he refuses, as Isabella tries to talk to him.
Justin goes to visit Victor and tells him he's moving to Texas
with Adrienne. Roman agrees to let Carrie go, after his talk with
Isabella.
January 15, 1991
Brian goes to talk to Julie, and bumps into a half-dressed
Melissa. Peachy asks Shane if he is in love with Kayla, but he
denies it, as Kayla overhears. Bo and Carly kiss in the Horton
living room, as Alice and Tom interrupt. Shane catches Kayla
listening, and they discuss their situation. Lawrence goes to see
Victor, and tells him of his plans. Alice has a set back in her
condition.
January 16, 1991
Isabella learns it was Roman that nominated her for a
citation from the police department. Adrienne finds Jack asleep
in his office at the paper and learns of him and Jen breaking up.
Lawrence goes to see Jen about their divorce, as Frankie comes in
and wants to throw him out. Vern talks to Jack about the new
potential investor of the paper, not knowing it's Lawrence. Roman
and Isabella talk, as Justin comes in to see Roman at his
request, as a prime suspect in Nick's murder. Isabella goes to
Jack's rescue when he gets drunk at the Cheatin Heart. Jen meets
with Tanner about Nick's murder, when she hears Jack outside
Tanner's hotel room looking for a hooker. Eve follows Frankie on
his trip to get Lawrence the family money.
January 18, 1991
Justin and Bo discuss Alice's condition over a sandwich,
as he looks for a job. Shane and Kayla discuss getting Peachy to
the hospital after she gets dizzy. Roman and Adrienne discuss
Justin, and if she thinks he killed Nick. Isabella questions
where Johnny got the money to buy April a diamond bracelet.
Justin tells Victor about his argument with Nick the night he
died. Shane gets Peachy to admit she has this virus that Lawrence
is responsible for releasing, which is what gets Shane to decide
to take the case. Bo stops Tanner from harassing Emmy for the
money she owes him, by paying Tanner himself.
January 23, 1991
Shane talks to Julie about the research lab, and looks
for funding. Justin tells Adrienne he's out for Johnny, since he
took off with $1 million of Victor's money. Johnny meets with
Anjelica and Alexander to take him back home to Justin. Isabella
asks Roman for his help with Johnny and the money. Brian goes to
see Tanner in the hospital and he refuses to see their father
Vern. Kayla tells Shane she is turning down the job offer to run
the research lab. Jen goes to see Tanner again about Nick's
murder, but he clams up. Brian sees Jen leaving and asks what she
is doing there, but she doesn't say.
January 24, 1991
Bo talks to Emmy about her new job at the hospital, when
Carly sees them hugging. Isabella goes to see Roman about Johnny.
April talks to Johnny about taking care of the baby (Alexander),
not knowing who he is. Jen goes to Whitney Baker's office, when
Jack comes in and thinks she is doing a story on date rape.
Lawrence goes to see Johnny on business, since he now holds
Victor's power of attorney. Jen asks Whitney to talk to Tanner
about Nick's death. After Jack has a visit from Lawrence, he goes
to see Jen to see exactly how far she went with him with this
marriage. Carly works with Victor to get his strength back. Jen
tells Jack he is the only one she has ever made love with and
begs him to let go of the past.
January 25, 1991
Shane tells Kayla about the press conference for the lab.
Melissa learns Brian and his fiancée are having an engagement
party at Wings. Frankie tells Eve he got the money from his
family estate, so Jen can get her divorce from Lawrence. Jen
tells Jack she loves him and asks him to hold her. Marcus walks
in on Shane and Kayla's argument. Jack finally touches Jen, but
quickly backs off saying all she can think of is rape when he
touches her. Shane rambles to Julie about Kayla being as stubborn
as Kim, as she reads between the lines. Jen and Jack argue and he
leaves. Melissa meets Brian's fiancée Madeline. Jo finds Jack
drinking and tells him of her own drinking problems and stops him.
Frankie tells Jen he got the money. Music montage with Jack and
Jen "You Can Say You Love Me"
January 29, 1991
Jen and Frankie talk about her situation with Lawrence.
Kayla and Shane look at the site of the new lab, when Lawrence
comes in and makes his presence felt. Eve goes to see Jack about
Jen and Frankie, when Vern interrupts about Lawrence's attempted
buy out of Diana's share of the paper. Peachy tells Shane and
Kayla that she is leaving now that he's on the case. Tanner goes
to see Jack and warns him to talk to Jen about backing off Nick's
murder. Lawrence and Jen sign the divorce papers, as they argue
about what he did. Tanner and Vern argue about his talk with Jack.
Lawrence has one of his men look for Kimberly in Los Angels, as a
way to get Shane off his back.
