July 1988 Updates
July 4, 1988
Shane has a hunch Jack may know who the killer is. Kim
fights off the knifer and reveals him to be Harper. He drags Kim
upstairs to the roof, as she throws her cameo on the floor for
Shane to find. Kayla wonders where Kim is, as Steve calls and
gets worried. Harper ties Kim up on the roof. Jack tells Shane he
bought the gloves for Harper, which is where the gold buckle came
from. Harper gets Kim to sign to Kayla what is going to happen,
as he rambles on like an insane person. Steve finds the cameo and
he and Shane run up to the roof, where they find Harper with Kim
and Kayla. Shane jumps Harper, as Steve tries to grab Kayla
before she falls off the edge. All ends well as Abe comes and
arrest Harper, and Shane finds Kim with a gash on her head, but
fine otherwise.
July 6, 1988
Eve goes to see Kim in the hospital. Shane tells
Gabrielle the knifer case is completed, as she wonders what this
means for them. Shane tells her he needs Kim back. Eve refuses to
compromise about accepting Kim, until Kim tells her she was
pretending to be a hooker to get the person who scared Eve. Shane
goes to see Kim and tells her she can go home, but she says she
can't until Kayla can talk. Gabrielle asks Eve if she would like
to come live with her.
July 8, 1988
Roman keeps having memories about the cliff with Stefano.
Shane goes to see Kim at the loft. Marcus tells Steve and Kayla
she can have the operation to restore her hearing, but she
doesn't want it. Steve tries to calm her fears, to no avail.
Diana tries to get Roman to talk to her about what is bothering
him. Shane tells Kim he wants them to start over, and nervously
ask her out on a date. Kim tells Caroline she was working
undercover with Shane. After Serena visits Abe about Roman and
Diana, Abe tells Lexie he's starting to worry about them. Shane
takes Kim to Blondies on a romantic date. Charlene fixes a
romantic dinner for Steve and Kayla at the loft, as Kayla decides
to have the operation after all. Roman hits his head and doesn't
remember who Diana is.
July 12, 1988
Gabrielle packs the rest of her things and asks Eve if
she wants to stay with her. Mike comes to see Steve and Kayla at
the hospital about her operation. Jack is the one responsible for
getting Kayla the specialist, but doesn't want anyone to know.
Eve packs and leaves without telling anyone and heads to Nick's.
Steve has a dream about his future with Kayla as he talks to his
guardian angle. Nick tells Shane and Kim about Eve being at his
place. "Steve" (guardian angle) goes to see Kayla as
she has an out of body experience.
July 14, 1988
Jenn and Trent come back from Ohio, where Frankie and
Max were, as she still is reeling over him being Max's father.
Shane tries to cheer up Eve over Gabrielle leaving. Kim comes
over and tells Shane about Kayla and Steve's wedding next week,
then she can come home, as Eve listens. April goes to see Mike
about getting a paid position at the clinic. Kim and Shane talk
about how to deal with Eve. Gabrielle tries to talk to Eve about
Shane and Kim. Emilio meets Jennifer, and they don't hit it off
so well. Kim and Shane have a picnic in the park. Eve meets with
Nick and tries to get him to give her some pills, to which he
refuses, but Eve gets some from a drug dealer.
July 15, 1988
Roman acts normal again, as Diana worries about him. She
tells him he was like another person,
but he makes light of it. Justin makes Adrienne breakfast in bed.
As Kim and Shane are playing with Andrew, he finds a pill on the
floor. Eve comes back with Gabrielle, and Shane confronts her, as
she denies they are her pills. Shane searches her purse, and
finds the pills. Roman goes to see Kim about his visions. Shane
talks to Eve about the pills. Kim talks to Eve about the 4 of
them going to therapy. Kim hypnotizes Roman, as he then changes
personalities again, and gets violent.
July 18, 1988
After Kayla gets out of the hospital, she and Steve go
to see Shawn and Caroline with the news of
their wedding. Jenn waits for Frankie to call her, unaware he is
very sick. Kim tries to calm down Roman when he pulls out a gun.
Max calls Jenn about Frankie being so sick. Kayla tells everyone
she wants a small wedding at the loft. Roman runs off, and Carrie
bumps into him on the pier, and he acts like he doesn't know her.
Kim calls Shane for help, and she is later able to pull Roman out
of the state he is in. Frankie and Max take off before Jenn can
get to them with Trent. Kayla asks Kim to be her matron of honor.
Frankie gets into a car accident with Max.
July 20, 1988
Shane gives Kim a telegram from Bo and Hope. Steve and
Kayla go over the final arrangements for the wedding. Emilio
teases April about her and Mike. Kim learns Bo and Hope aren't
able to attend the wedding. Shane asks Kim to renew their
marriage vows, as he proposes on one knee. Diana tells Roman she
doesn't feel like she should attend Kayla's wedding, since it's
for family only, but Roman changes her mind. Marcus throws Steve
a bachelor party, as Kayla is given a bridal shower at Blondies.
They guys decide to go and invade the ladies shower.
July 21, 1988
Shane reminds Eve of her therapy appointment as she
tries to go shopping with Gabrielle. Jack pumps Melissa for
information on the wedding. Kayla has a pain in her head and
Steve calls Mike, who is in a romantic clutch with April. Mike
tells them Kayla's hearing is returning and everything looks
normal. Eve talks to the therapist about her feelings for Kim.
Shane encourages Eve to make new friends, as a boy from school,
Harris, asks Eve out, but unbeknownst to Eve, it's part of a
prank with him and his friends.
July 22, 1988
On the morning of their wedding, Steve leaves a toy boat
next to Kayla as a symbol. Kayla asks Kim if she knows anything
about it, and she covers. Kim brings Kayla to the yacht for her
wedding, as she remembers wanting this from when she was a little
girl. Roman gives Diana a friendship ring. Steve watches as Kayla
practices what she is going to sign to him at the wedding. Jack
goes to see Kayla and tries to apologize for the past.
July 25, 1988
Steve and Kayla are married in a romantic ceremony.
Justin sings "I'm A Believer" as flashbacks are shown
of Steve and Kayla. Jack watches the wedding from behind the
yacht. Kayla's voice returns as she says her vows to Steve. Diana
catches the bouquet and Roman the garter.
July 27, 1988
Justin and Victor talk about a visit from the stork, as
Adrienne has a plan to make it happen. Kim moves back home as
Shane is thrilled, but Eve is less than happy about it. Adrienne
goes to see Neil about getting pregnant. Shane and Kim hear Eve
cancel her date with Harris, as Kim talks to Eve privately and
gets her to change her mind. Mike takes April and Rosa for a boat
ride. Neil tells Adrienne and Justin she suffered a lot of damage
from the miscarriage and it's not good for her conceiving again.
Shane and Kim have a romantic afternoon in front of the fireplace.
July 29, 1988
Gabrielle brings Eve a mature dress and Shane
disapproves big time. Roman is upset with an article Diana did of
him with a picture of how he looked. Adrienne is upset when
Justin wants to try and make a baby. Roman tells Diana about his
past with Stefano. Harris puts the moves on Eve and gets what he
came for. When Kim and Shane come home, Kim knows what happened
and talks to Eve about it.
