June 2, 1987 SOD Update
Shane is flabbergasted at the sight of Gillian. Wasn't he just on the phone with her? But Donovan keeps his cool and puts a plan into action. First, he asks her to meet him at Blondies, and then he goes out to buy a ring. Donovan runs into Alex, who says he knows Kim's marriage to Paul was a fake. Shane warns Marshall to keep quiet. Next, Shane proposes to gillian, who joyously accepts. Then, Donovan flies to England, explaining to his "fiancee" that he's going to arrange their honeymoon.
Never one to be trusted, Alex spills the beans to Gillian, who is outraged at her partner's betrayel. She calls Grace in england. Maybe it's time to get rid of Kimberly once and for all, suggests the scorned spy.
Patch's Dilemma
Jack asks Steve to lend a hand in a new riverfront housing project, but Johnson declines. When Kayla finds out, she confronts Steve. How could he be so uncaring? When Johnson has no answer, Kayla realizes he's jealous of her relationship with Jack.
Lars Hits The Road
Frankie and Jennifer return to school only to be ridiculed by the other kids. Glenn accuses Jenn of sleeping with Frankie. Gallagher is really thrown for a loop when he finds out that he and he ex-girlfriend are paired for the senior clas project.
Lars prepares for his New York tour and Melissa decides to join him. But Justin intervenes and suggests that Ms. Anderson needs to live her own life. Melissa realizes that Justin is right and says her last good-bye to Lars.
Diana's Secret
At the hospital, Diana is poisoned by a man posing as a nurse. Gasping for breath, she alerts Mike, who races to her bedside in time to save her. Horton demands to know what Diana is trying to hide. Who would want to kill her? Ms. Colville reveals that she had planned to report a friend's medical breakthrough when he was mysteriously murdered. After Diana learned that he was to speak at a conference in Salem, she followed the lead and her life has been a nightmare ever since. Maybe Mike should keep his cancer research under wraps, Diana suggests.
Shane Confers With Grace!
Putting the pieces together, Shane realizes that Gillian must have a twin. He locates Grace in England, tells her of Gillian's misdoings and asks for her assistance. They return to Salem and inform Kim that Gillian intends to kill her!
Meanwhile, Gillian proceeds with her plan. She sends Kimberly a phony note from Shane, asking her to meet him at a cabin in the woods. At the site, the women meet. When Forrester pulls a gun, Kimberly confesses everything. But Ms. Brady manages to kick the gun from Gillian's hand. As she runs away, Peachy surprises her and warns her that her car is wired to explode!
Using an ISA trick, Peach uses a remote control device to move the car out of sight -- and it explodes! Gillian finds the wreckage and believes her jod is done when she sees a mangled dummy in the driver's seat.
I Do, I Do...But To Whom?
Gillian shows up at the church for her wedding. Shane keeps a lookout for Kimberly's return, as planned. With Ms. Brady nowhere in sight, Donovan is forced to go on with the ceremony. Luckily, Grace and Kim arrive just as the vows are being exchanged. Gillian panics and tries to escape, but Abe catches her and Forrester is arrested. All she ever wanted to do was love Shane, a sobbing Gillian confesses. Shane and Kimberly melt into each other's arms. Their nightmare is over, and Shane wants to marry Kimberly....right now! In fact, that was his intentions all along. He reveals a beautiful gown which Kimberly dons, as all of Salem waits. Moments later, a stunning Ms. Brady walks down the aisle.
Wedding Bells
The two tenderly exchange vows as they are finally pronounced man and wife! After receiving congratulations from friends and family, Donovan whisks his bride away in a waiting Rolls Royce. The honeymoon has begun, Shane informs Kimberly. Tomorrow they will be in Paris!
As they board the Orient Express, the two share a romantic dinner. However, the newlyweds are interrupted when a woman enters their cabin, and announces that she's been robbed. Donovan catches the culprit, who is apprehended by police. Later, a mysterious man sends them champaign and disappears when Shane tries to thank him. The two wonder what they have gotten themselves into.
Adrienne Is Confused
Justin finds Adrienne in the park and gives her a book of poetry. Adrienne is delighted. She love poetry, Adrienne explains, as she begins to read. But then she has a frightening memory of Duke warning her not to bring those books home. A troubled Adrienne runs off, leaving Justin baffled. He finds Adrienne at the emergency center and convinces her to give their friendship another try.
Diana Is Haunted By Nightmares
Diana has a nightmare about a Hawaiian man she thinks she saw the night she was injured. She tells Mike and later, at the hospital, Horton runs into a man resembling the one Diana described. The man inquires about Diana's condition, but Mike informs him she's been released.
Later, Diana tells Horton she believes this man might be involved in her friends death. Mike is concerned for Diana's safety. Maybe they should contact the police, he suggests, but Diana vetoes the idea.
Meanwhile, the mysterious man sees an invitation to a gala honoring Mike's medical research. Placing a call, he informs an accomplice that he has an excellent opportunity to get rid of Dr. Mike Horton!
Later, Diana's nightmares turn into reality when she wakes up and finds the stranger standing next to her bed. She screams, but when Mike comes running, the man is gone.
Bombs Away!
Adrienne breaks her date with Justin when Jo asks her to help serve at the gala. But when Justin arrives with Melissa, Adrienne drops her tray and runs out. Justin follows her and explains that he only came because his boss requested it. How would she react if she knew who he really was? Justin wonders.
Meanwhile, Kayla decise to attend the gala with Jack, as Patch keeps a watchful eye outside. Kayla spots Steve and goes outside to say hello. But they are interrupted by a man who has a message for Mike. Horton is neede in the research lab before he gets his reward, the man informs Kayla. On her way to find Mike, Kayla decides to stop by the lab to inform them that she's going to locate Horton. A stunned Patch watches the lab building explode, just as Kayla walks in the door!
