May 5, 1987 SOD Update
Shane arranges a secret meeting with Kimberly to inform her that he's suspicious about Gillian. They must make it look like their engagement is off, Donovan informs his fiancee'. Shane invites Gillian to dinner at Blondies, where they see Kim and Paul. Brady and Donovan stage a fight in which they publicly break off their engagement, once and for all. An overjoyed Gillian tells her sister the plan is working. Now, there's room for her to move into Shane's life. But later, Shane and Kim reunite and make love, once again pledging that nothing will tear them apart.
Class Trip
The senior class is planning a field trip to Florida. Glenn's delighted. Maybe he and Jenn will finally get a chance to make love. Not wanting to watch Glenn and Jennifer together, Frankie decides not to go. After fantasizing about what he could be missing, Frankie changes his mind.
Justin Makes The Rounds
With Justin's help, Melissa gets a job taking notes for Lars. But she becomes jealous and rushes out of rehearsal when she sees Lars intertwined with another dancer. But englund promises he'll never stop loving her and convinces Melissa to give notation a try. At least this way they can be together, he tells her. But Melissa isn't satisfied.
Meanwhile, Justin runs into Anjelica at the hospital and, with a few fast-talking words, convinces her to have dinner with him. They end the evening in typical Justin style; that is, in bed.
Shawn or Victor?
Kiriakis creates a phony document to make it look like he was sterile at the time of Bo's conception. Justin finds the letter and shows it to Bo, who finds the whole idea preposterous. Punches start to fly between the two but Hope breaks them up. When Justin leaves, Bo shares the "truth" with his wife.
Enraged, Bo confronts Victor. How could he have lied about something so important? But Kiriakis is unable to answer. The Brady's decide that Shawn and Caroline must be told the truth. With open arms, Shawn welcomes his son back into the family.
Adrienne Remembers
Adrienne visits Kimberly at the clinic, but leaves frustrated. There's still a big gap in her memory. Meanwhile, Jo and Kayla head to the courthouse for Patch's sentencing. Patch takes the stand, and tells the judge he's glad he killed his father. "The creep deserved to die!" Patch exclaims.
As Adrienne wanders through the park crying, Justin asks if he can help. When he reaches out to touch her, Adrienne panics. "Get your hands off me!" she yells, suddenly remembering the truth. She was the one who killed her father, not Steve!
Saved!
Just as the judge sentences Patch to ten years in prison, Adrienne rushes into the courtroom. "Steve didn't do it!" Adrienne exclaims. When the judge learns that Adrienne acted in self-defense, the case is dismissed.
Later, on the pier, Kayla tells Steve that the nightmare is over. They can go on with their lives together. Johnson kisses her passionately, but rejects her a minute later. She must find someone else, Patch tells Kayla. He's just too much trouble.
Steve finds his sister and they confront their feelings about Duke. Johnson tells Adrienne that he loves her. He's sorry about what she had to endure, and vows to stick by her from now on.
Misunderstanding
Adrienne and Jo try to get Patch and Kayla back together by setting up a romantic dinner for them at Blondie's. The two have a lovely time, but a hooker from the Cheatin' Heart comes onto Patch. Irritated, Ms. Brady leaves in the pouring rain and finds an old friend, Jack, on her doorstep. Completely soaked, the two change into bathrobes to get warm. Meanwhile, Steve decides to apologize to Kayla and goes to see her. But when Jack answers the door, Patch jumps to the wrong conclusion and leaves.
Shane's Plan
Donovan tells Kimberly that he's going to New York to check on Gillian's alibi for New Years Eve. She wants to go as well, so the two plan for Kim to meet him in New York. However, Gillian decides to surprise Shane and show up in Donovan's hotel room. What better way to be with the man she loves, a devious Gillian tells her sister.
Jennifer And Glenn Break Up
Jennifer, Glenn, and Frankie head to Florida for their class trip. Glenn arranges a romantic evening with Jennifer and wants to make love. But Jenn can't go through with it; she's just not ready. An angry Glenn leaves his girlfriend crying in her room.
Jennifer decides to take a walk on the beach. She meets Frankie, who comforts her and admits that he, too, is a virgin. Later, Jennifer gives Glenn back his ring. when the other kids make fun of her because she won't sleep with Gallagher, Jennifer and Frankie go home.
It's A Boy!
At the fishmarket, Hope goes into labor. Trouble strikes when the Brady's get a flat tire en route to the hospital. Bo steals a car and gets his wife to the delivery room--just in time. The two rejoice over the birth of their baby....a boy!
Mr. and Mrs. Brady bring their little one home and invite the family to a celebration. Bo reveals that he is indeed a Brady after all. He and Roman finally clear up all the years of misunderstandings between them. Later, Bo and Hope visit Shawn and Doug. They've decided to name the baby after both grandfathers. Their son will be called Shawn Douglas Brady.
Betrayed
Meanwhile, Roman sees Orpheus hassling Olivia. Brady pays his nemisis a visit, and warns him to leave his friend alone. Roman is stunned when he sees Olivia's scarf lying on the floor. Brady finally realizes the truth: Olivia is working with Orpheus!
