August 4-15, 1986 Update
Bo gets the impression that the trip to Europe is a test to see if he can be trusted. Kiriakis says that he will understand if Bo decides to stay for Hope's sake, but if he does, he will never be a part of his father's business. Bo makes one last effort to keep Hope from leaving him. They make love, but realize that nothing has changed. Hope asks Kayla if she can move back into the loft with her if Bo goes. When Mrs. Brady returns home to see her husband leaving in the limo, she starts packing. As Hope departs, she confronts Kiriakis and states that if her marriage is over, it's his fault. when Alice hears the news, she goes to Kiriakis and gives him a piece of her mind. While in the loft, Hope prays that Bo will return to her.
Eli Has A Heart Attack
Robin fixes Mike a special lunch at his place, but she doesn't notice the beeper has fallen out of her purse. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Eli suffers a minor heart attack. Robin finally calls in and rushes to him. In her guilt, she turns away from Mike and Mitch. Hurt, Horton goes home where Chris explains what happened. Mike returns to the hospital and Robin cries in his arms.
Patch Remembers His Past
Frankie and Max rush to tell Patch that Kayla and a social worker tried to take Max away. Later, Kayla agrees with Patch that this case can't be done by the book and Johnson remembers how he was separated from his younger brother. They decide to hide the kids until the social worker promises not to split them up. But the pair arrive at Patch's room just in time to watch the social worker and two cops taking Max.
Glenn Argues With Sylvie
Jennifer is a bit dismayed to find Glenn at the beach surrounded by beautiful girls but he asks her to have lunch with him, so she stays. Unfortunately, Glenn's mother, Sylvie, shows up demanding to know why he's not at his father's office. When Glenn replies that that was his dead brother's job, not his, Sylvie retorts that Glenn could never replace his brother, anyways. Jennifer soothes Glenn's feelings. Although he may not be good enough for his mother, Jennifer tells Glenn he's certainly good enough for her!
Emma Is Arrested!
At the hospital, Emma hears the neonatal nurse positively identify the woman in Shane's photograph as the phony nurse. She hurries home, packs a bag, mails the information on Andrew's adoption to herself in England and rushes to the airport. But Shane and Abe track her down just in time.
After questioning Emma yields nil, Shane and Abe devise a plan. They make Emma believe that they have captured Denason and Harris and are willing to strike a deal -- if she'll confess. Emma agrees, but doesn't reveal Andrew's whereabouts. Finally, realizing she's been set up, a furious Emma refuses to say another word. Shane has to restrain his fiancee after Emma taunts that Kim still doesn't have her child. After Mrs. Marshall is taken back to her cell, Kimberly admits to Shane that they may never get Andrew back. Shane, however, vows he'll never stop looking for their son.
Marlena Wakes Up!
Roman challenges his wife: if she loves him, she'll come back to him. Getting no response, he starts to leave the room but Marlena calls out his name. She's out of the coma! The next day, Roman sneaks the twins in for a visit. Later, he returns clad in a tux and bringing champagne. Brady asks his wife to renew their marital vows. A thrilled Marlena says, yes!
Sylvie Interferes
Jennifer and Glenn's picnic lunch at the beach ends in a food fight. When she tries to take off his shirt to wash it, he freaks. Jen takes a new one to his house and finds Sylvie polishing off a bottle of wine. Jennifer says that her Aunt Maggie, a recovered alcoholic, could help her with her drinking problem. Furious, Mrs. Gallagher tells Jennifer to mind her own business. Sylvie contacts Glenn's old girlfriend, Claudia, and suggests that she visit. When Glenn and Jennifer discover the new houseguest, Ms. Horton runs out. Glenn lets his mom have it for concocting the scheme, then he goes after Jen.
Max Runs Away
Frankie burts into the emergency center and starts tearing the place apart. The social worker won't let him see Max and he blames Kayla. Patch orders her to fix things up. She makes a call, but Max has already run away! Patch searches all night, then finds the boy in his own home. Johnson says that he and Frankie can stay with him. Kayla knock at the door but is refused entrance and leaves, her feelings hurt. Later, on the pier, Kayla opens up to him. She wanted the best for Max, but has only made things worse. Patch assures her that it will all work out.
After Kayla learns the boys' whereabouts, she gets over her anger about being kept in the dark and explains the situation to Caroline, who voluteers to take MAx and Frankie in. Patch thanks Kayla for giving him a chance. He is moved when she responds by kissing him on the cheek.
Hope And Doug: Misery Loves Company
Bo calls Hope, who is upset to learn his trip will take longer than expected. When Doug visits, Hope admits that her marriage is in trouble. Doug reveals he and Julie are also having problems. Father and daughter decide to go away for a while.
Victor And Kim Plan A Trip
Kimberly is disturbed when Shane says he's taking on an ISA caseload because he has no current leads on Andrew. When Kiriakis announces he has a lead on Andrew in Atlanta, Kim offers to go along. Shane delivers an ultimatum to his fiancee: She must decide whether or not she trusts him. Kim replies that she can't trust anyone and calls Victor to confirm their travel plans. Shane walks out on her.
Marlena Goes Home!
Roman takes his wife home. She calls Kim to the house and asks her to be a bridesmaid. Unaware of the problems between the pair, Roman invites Shane over and asks him to be an usher. Not wanting to ruin the Brady's first evening at home, Shane and Kimberly leave. Marlena vows to help her husband unlock his past and the two make love.
