July 7-18, 1986 Update
As Kim and Shane continue their search they meet with the doctor in Cleveland that Kayla used to work for. He is the same one Emma sold Andrew to. When the doctor tells Kim and Shane that he thinks they'll make wonderful parents and he already has a baby for them, the couple he comes suspicious. Their suspicions mount when the doctor informs them of the twenty five thousand dollar fee for his services. Kim and Shane agree to pay the steep price, and return to Salem to get the funds from the ISA.
Shane calls the doctor and tells him he wants to handle the transaction in Salem and that he wants to see a picture of the baby first Miss Harris comes to Salem and shows, them a picture of Andrew! Kimberly is elated, but grows upset when Shane tells her that he's going to contact Roman and Abe. By involving the police, Kimberly tears they may be risking Andrew's life. But Shane feels it's the only way to ensure that they get back the baby and nab the criminals.
Meanwhile, Emma overhears Kayla telling Chris she feels bad because she learned there was a woman on her flight from Cleveland with a baby that could have been Andrew! Furious, Emma contacts Patch and orders him to find out what Kayla did in Cleveland. Happy for the excuse to follow Ms. Brady, Patch goes to the clinic, but gets nowhere when he tries to pump her for information.
Miss Harris Scared Off!
Kimberly and Shane get in touch with Miss Harris, who tells them that the baby exchange will take place in the park and that Kimberly is to come alone. Roman and Abe come over and Shane gives them the details. Kim is upset, afraid something might go wrong. As Kimberly waits in the park with the money, Kayla comes over. Kimberly tries to get rid of her, but Miss Harris sees them together. Recognizing Kayla, she turns and goes. Kimberly spots her leaving and sees that she has Andrew. They run after her, but Miss Harris grabs the baby out of the carriage and flees. Hysterical, Kimberly blames Shane, Roman and Abe for trying to pull a fast one. Shane tells her it couldn't have been the police. Maybe Kayla scared her off, he suggests. But Kimberly refuses to believe that explanation. Miss Harris calls the doctor and tells him that the people in Salem have some connection with his former nurse!
Hope visits Melissa, who tells her about Pete's illegal activities at JUMP! Con-fronting Pete, Hope learns how scared he is. She's going to the DA. if Victor doesn't get off Pete's back! Mrs. Brady tells Alex, who informs his boss of her threat Kiriakis warns Bo that their deal is off if Hope insists on trying to use her situation to get him. Hope won't compromise her sense of right and wrong, even if it doesn't fit into Bo's plan. Roman comes down hard on Bo for not supporting Hope. Heeding his brother's advice, Bo later apologizes to her.
Eugene Is A Ghost?
Abe tells a worried Anna and a hopeful Calliope that Eugene is deed. They found the charred time machine in the woods. Calliope, however, refuses to believe that she has lost her husband. She hits her head on a table and sees that Eugene has come back from another age. Anna and Abe don't see him, however.
Much to everyone's dismay, Calliope continues seeing Eugene. When Anna talks about holding a memorial service for Eugene, Calliope asks her husband, who says it might be fun. At the service, both are touched by the outpouring of friendship.
Kayla brings Patch home after finding him on the pier, having been beaten up by Kiriakis's men for not following orders. Concerned because he has a fever, Kayla wants a friend to stay with him, but Patch says he has no friends, so Kayla decides to stay with him.
Kiriakis plans a special dinner for Bo and Hope. He wants to celebrate their good news about Hope's pregnancy. When Hope and Bo go into the dining room, they see that the table is set for two. He thought they'd have a better time alone, Kiriakis explains. The couple moves the party to the pier where they have a wonderful time. Kiriakis walks by, and Bo asks him to join them. Hope is worried by the bond forming between the two.
Britta's In Salem!
While trying to remember the meaning of the poster, Roman realizes that he needs Britta's help. He asks Lars to put him in touch with Britta, hut Lars won't Melissa does her best to convince Lars that Roman might be able to help his sister. Roman bugs the rehearsal hall phone. When Britta telephones, he has the call traced, and is shocked to learn that it's coming from Salem! He races down to the pier. Britta sees him, drops the phone and runs. Roman informs Lars and Melissa that he has located Britta. He convinces Lars to help get her out of hiding, When Roman leaves, Lars and Melissa share a kiss. Terrified of her feelings, Melissa runs to Pete. Clinging to him she tells her husband she loves him.
Andrew Is Found
Shane and Kim give Kayla a description of the doctor who may have Andrew and she agrees it sounds like Denason, the physician she worked for; Shane and Kim go to Cleveland to face him. The baby is no longer available, Denason tells the couple. Suspicious, Shane plants a bugging device in his office. Listening from a broom closet down the hall, Kim is horrified to hear that Denason is placing Andrew with another couple.
When Miss Harris arrives at the doctor's office, Kim and Shane discover that she will be the one to deliver Andrew. They follow her when she leaves to pick up the baby. Though Shane takes out his revolver, two goons get to them and force them into a house at gunpoint Kim sees Andrew with Miss Harris, who lets Kimberly hold him, before taking the baby away. Shane tries to make a move, but is knocked unconscious. Next, the pair is thrown into a basement and locked up, while Miss Harris spirits away Andrew!
