In
1985, Liz Chandler made a record with this famous artist, and
produced the hit "Friends & Lovers." This song became a hit not
only in the fictional world of Salem, but also in the real world when
it topped #1 on the U.S. Billboard charts. In 1986, Carl appeared
once again, this time as a surprise from Neil to Liz on the
inauguration of the new Blondie's. Carl managed to get Liz to
overcome her fear of singing and they performed "Friends &
Lovers" once again. In 1988, Carl returned to the Blondie's stage
once again as a surprise from Shane to Kimberly after they renewed
their wedding vows, and he sang their song, "Friends & Lovers"
again. He also sang "Falling in Love," in honor of Shane and Kim's
renewed love.

cast member starred on Days for a limited run as Eugene Bradford's
larger-than-life cousin Leticia Bradford. Leticia allowed Eugene to

murders, and helped him escape from the police when he came under
suspicion. One night, the Salem Slasher, disguised as Eugene, killed
her.

strange, especially after Eugene received a phone call from Anna on
his bow tie phone.
Eugene and Calliope rang in the New Year -

appear on her talk show, was tickled pink to reciprocate with a guest
appearance on the soap. For one day, the talk-show titan traded in
her microphone for a tongue depressor, donned an official nurse's
uniform, answered the phone at the nurses' station and got to inform
Dr. Marlena Evans she had a call. Gibbons brief but memorable
performance help help Days commemorate its 30 years on
television.
